I am fair skinned and always hated when a bronzer is so dark that it looks cakey. This is the perfect shade and I can apply a small amount of extra for nighttime and it never looks cakey or orange. I use this instead of any foundation product. I’m old and do not travel in upscale groups or to upscale events. When I went on line it was to purchase my usual “tried and true”. I ordered the mini size so I could test it. I'm glad I did. it's more of a orangy bronzer and you really have to build it up to the point where it's clearly obvious I have powder on my face. I prefer a more pigmented bronzer as I don't wear much makeup but bronzer is the one thing I can't go without, so I'm very picky on that. I'm not returning it but instead I'm going to use it as a topper over my cream bronzer. That may work out better ... show more

I love reviews with photos, but they often do not mention skin tone, age and the color of the product purchased. My skin is fair to light with more red and unevenness as I age (I’m 59). I purchased the Murumuru butter bronzer in “sunkissed”. I saw many reviewers state this color was too light, but I guess it depends on how bold you like your bronzer. In the photo, I have nothing on my face except lip color and a little bit of the bronzer on cheeks and upper forehead - no foundation or face powder. I think this color is perfect for adding nice, natural color that really does look like a bit of color from the sun. It went on smoothly with the “sponge” applicator that comes with it (in the bottom compartment of the compact). It’s a smooth, creamy powder consistency that blends easily and isn’t too orange-y like some bronzers can be. People also complained about the smell, which IMO is a very light and pleasant coconut aroma and is not an issue or overwhelming at all - and you don’t even notice it once it’s applied. The product came in perfect condition - well-packaged in its box and bubble wrap. Love that the brand is cruelty free and vegan, too. There is no need to buy products that torture and kill animals with so many compassionate products to choose from! ... show more
