This is my second purchase of a grow light. I am reviewing the PL1000. Compared to a WELLUCK 100w, it produces more heat and less light. This light would work well in a 2x2 tent. I like the dimming knob. It doesn't have a daisy chain feature as advertised, but I was able to link my lights with a 3 prong y extension and tidy up my cords anyway. In conjunction with my other two lights it does very well, but I would consider purchasing two of these lights if I didn't already have more than one light. This light is longer than I expected and I'm also happy with that because each LED on the board has alot of breathing room. My plants are happy! ... show more

I am using this light to grow aquatic plants. They are fantastic. I am only using it at about 25% brightness, and it penetrates 24 inches of water without any trouble. At 25% is barely gets warm. This is a well-designed and built light. The plants are thriving.

The light delivers a full spectrum, and is thin and lightweight, and uses a lot less power than my previous white-light model. It is also adjustable from about 25%-100% of maximum brightness, though I do wish it could be tapered all the way to zero without abruptly turning it off. Even at 25% it was still too bright for my unique growing needs, and moving it far enough above the plants to reduce the light still further took up a lot of space. However, anyone attempting to grow ordinary house plants would not have that problem. In fact, it would be perfect for that. I also liked the fact that it was cool to the touch and didn't have any noisy fans at its lowest setting; though the metal plate did get hot enough to burn my fingers when I turned it on full blast. ... show more

Great light that really does promote excellent plant germination and growth. I have purchased 6 over the past 9 months and all have been excellent and continue to provide great service. They run cool and have provided excellent results. Stringing them together with with the ethernet cord is convenient The most recent light I purchased came with the ethernet cable but doesnt have a port to plug it into. Complained and the mfg replied that design has been updated and daisy chain feature deleted though prominently advertised in listing at the time. ... show more

Im giving this light 5 stars even though I didn't receive a daisy chain cable with it. The light seems to be of good quality. Light output at 100% is comparable to my Mars Hydro TS600.
