    • Nice rope, but chemical(Petroleum) odor is not right in a natural rope.

It smells like it was shipped from China in a tank of diesel fuel. I have washed it with shampoo and water, letting it dry in the sun. If the petroleum odor persists, it will be unusable inside. EXTREM disappointment that another look-a-like product from China has disappointed me by some unnatural odor. This is becoming a big problem. Who knows what chemicals these products are laden with. I hope tho odor goes away today, or I will be lowering my review to 1 star. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased a Philosophy Climbing rope on May 9, 2023. It broke on May 5, 2024 while my son was climbing on it. Although he fell very hard, I am thankful that it did not break while my eight year old grand children were climbing on it only seconds before he fell. This is a very dangerous, unsafe product that should be removed from the market and not sold to anyone. I am beyond upset! ... show more

1.4 inches actual diameter, fairly comfortable in the hand, and doesn't seem to shed too much. I was specifically trying to avoid a rope that smelled like chemicals, because I can only imagine what trash they spin together in China to sell, or how it's treated. I mounted the rope in my garage and climb with my arms only and my legs straight out. The rope has held up well to this and my kids swinging around on it. It's size is good and doesn't produce cramps like it would if too small. After seeing others though that come with caribeners I am sad that this one did not.
