Philips Avent Natural Fast Flow Nipple is designed for babies at least 6 months old and offer a fast flow. These nipples are made of soft, durable silicone, which is odorless, flavorless and BPA free. The nipples can be sterilized in any Philips Avent steam sterilizer, boiled for five minutes, or washed in the dishwasher. A wide breast-shape nipple promotes natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Our flexible nipple design combined with the comfort petals allow for a natural movement while baby feeds. Unique Airflex valve technology is integrated into the nipple and are designed to reduce colic and discomfort by venting air away from your baby's tummy. Perfect condition & packaging. They arrived in a sealed tight wrap. Some of the reviews state that the nipple is supposed to have four holes. I honestly thought this also. I compared them to the other nipples my son had been using that I bought in a bottle package set of 4 from Target and the nipples have the number four also with only three holes. It is misleading due to the fact that they only have three holes. But the packaging displays and implies that they are a 4 hole flow. Very misleading and confusing to us moms! But I believe this is an error on Philips end, not necessarily a product defect etc. Bring his other nipples are worn in, I thought he may struggle getting a steady flow, but he hasn’t had any problems sucking his bottles down. These nipples work great. We've used only these for our 2 kiddos. Just make sure you get the right one (flow rate) for the age of your baby. 1 = newborn, 2 = 1 month+, 3 = 3 month+, 4 = 6 month+. Please note that this is only a guideline, adjust according to the development and drinking habits of your child. If you get too slow flowing, baby will get frustrated that they aren't getting milk fast enough, but too fast and they will choke/make a mess. Last thing, as your baby gets older they will start going through these really fast because they will start chewing through them. Way overpriced and I switched brands because replacement nipples were so expensive. Once they start biting them they are really soft.

I read the reviews and was a bit skeptical on buying it because a lot of other reviews mentioned only having the 3 holes. I checked it when it arrived and surely enough it only had the 3 holes. Regardless, I still tested it out and my toddler had no problem with the suction so it worked out for us. I would recommend it if you’re looking to replace yours or need extras. ... show more

I have used these with my older one and with my 2nd one again. Now that he's older I had to get the 4 flow one. For him it works best. They clean well too.

    • Ehhhhhh They are hit or miss!
I ordered 2 packs (so 4 nipples total) and 2 of them were defective! The defective ones don't allow the air to escape the bottle, causing the nipple to cave in. This is the worst at 2 am feedings because my baby has to unlatch so the air can rush back into the bottle. When it does this it makes a high pitch noise causing him to fully wake up. Of course I threw the packaging away and washed them before I knew that two of them were defective. Wish I could have returned the broken ones. Now, the 2 that actually work, are perfect. I've used the Avent natural nipples for both of my kids and normally the nipples work great. So, they are hit or miss. When they work, they are great! These nipples and bottles hold up to a lot of uses! I love that you can run them in the dishwasher as well. They get pulled on and bitten almost nonstop and still look brand new! We went from a size 2 to 4 nipple with no issues.
