The warmer heats bottles and foods safely and evenly and unlike microwaves, won't cause hotspots, so you can be sure the internal temperature is safe for your baby. All Philips AVENT bottles, toddler cups, and food jars fit in the warmer. The warmer is fast and easy to operate - just plug in and flip the on/off switch on the back of the unit. A neon light lets you know the unit is on and working. An included instruction guide makes it easy to calculate the correct heat-up time. Operation involves adding water and turning the dial. A light blinks to indicate that the contents are properly warmed to a safe temperature. To be sure, always test the internal temperature before giving to babies.

  • Wonderful!
I love this bottle warmer. My baby is almost a year old and I still use it. Great for keeping bottles/food warm and defrosting baby food/breast milk. For the price it can’t be beat either. I make homemade baby food and the small 4oz containers fit perfectly. I’ve used glass/plastic. Although the ones with the plastic lids if the food becomes too hot the steam makes the lid pop off and the food will get in the bottle warmer. But you can clean easily and I find using jars with metal lids work best. Fair warning though that it doesn’t have a timer and if put in the highest setting can become really hot. So you have to keep an eye on it especially if warming/defrosting breast milk. But I tend to put breast milk at the lower setting as to not destroy the nutrients in the breast milk and also if I have other things to tend to. But if I’m in a pinch I put it in the highest setting and it defrosts fairly quickly. ... show more

  • Such a great product, bought a second.
This review is coming from the father. After having twins born 2 months premature, we were left scrambling for things we hadn't yet purchased, one of which was a bottle warmer. After doing a good amount of research and reading several reviews, I landed on this bottle warmer. I'm a big Amazon user (I buy hundreds of things a year) but am not normally a reviewer (I've only written a couple). However, I feel like this product deserves one. We liked it so much we ended up buying a second. It works well, though not as well as advertised. 3 minutes is pretty quick, but even now that they're 5 months old, we can heat 4oz of formula from the fridge in 6 mins. The water heats up really fast. It's simple and has held up to being used several times a day, every day. The only complaint I have is that the knob feels a little loose, but that's it. Great product and has held up to plenty of use. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a simple, basic warmer that will last you a long time. ... show more

  • Great Thermostic Controlled Hide Glue Heater
This warmer is controlled by a thermostat that works quite well, and if turned full "on" will get quite hot. It heats up very fast, like the vintage "Hot Shot" water heaters for beverages. I used a Taylor digital probe type thermometer to test it out for heating and maintaining luthiers Hide glue at 150 degrees F. The water bath, filled to the internal fill line with room temp water, reached 150 degrees in 2:46 and 170 in 5 minutes. Added a glass Avent Brand 4 oz baby bottle filled to 5 ounces with the nipple attached. Starting with tap water, found the 150 and 160 degree position of the controller knob at about the 1 and 2 O'clock positions respectively and marked the positions with a pencil line. The warmer heated the water in the bottle to 150 degrees in 15:45 minutes and maintained it very well. Using the glass baby bottle adds thermal mass that helps regulate the temperature of the water extremely close to the "set" temperature. And the lid (with nipple) even acts as a pressure release. I just marked the 150 and 160 degree settings with a sharpie. 150 degrees will be right in the middle. This should be a very good, fast Hide glue warmer and should be great for baby bottle warmer if one reads the instructions. It will work fantastic for a Hide glue pot, heating the glue in the Avent baby bottle. ... show more

  • Needs a timer
This warmer is pretty good in that it warms great on a multitude of settings. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 because it does not have a timer. If you get busy with the baby or anything else it will quickly overheat the bottle. You basically have to either set a timer on your phone/stove/microwave or something else or just stand over the darned thing checking it every minute or two to make sure the bottle warms to the right temp. While it heats evenly & works really well, the lack of a timer or shut off mechanism makes it more difficult to use. If it had a timer it would be perfect. Without it, it's a pain in the @$$. I do like that it has a defrost feature for frozen breast milk. That is a really useful feature. ... show more

  • Was hesitant about buying but was surprised!
I'm super cheap and I didn't want to get this product but I read the reviews and decided it was worth giving it a try. This is such a great buy! Super quick to actually warm the bottles and way more convenient than boiling water and then waiting for the bottle to warm. A few notes: there isn't a self timer to turn off the warming, so you have to really keep an eye on it or your bottles can get too warm. Also kind of wish the power cord was longer. I need to use an extension to have it when I need it. I wish there was some was this was portable or had back up batteries so I can use it on the go. But other than those few notes, I'm completely satisfied with this product. It has been one of the best things I've spent money on so far! Photo shows the size compared to a 4oz bottle and a bottle water. ... show more

  • Great warmer. Simple, no frills, and does its job
This works great if your not a complete idiot like some of these other reviewers. Set the dial (half bottle/full bottle) and check every minute or two. You can time how long it takes and go by a simple clock to time how long your bottle takes. We are at 5 oz and depending on the temp of the milk we are about 5-6 minutes to heat a bottle. This is a basic warmer and does not have auto off or timers which is just fine if again, you’re not an idiot.... It will boil the water if you set it in high and let it go for awhile. Just don’t do that.... problem solved... Even at 2AM we never experienced overheating issues because we timed it before hand and knew roughly how long it takes to warm up ... show more
