  • Not really what they claim
Style: NightGuide Platinum: 130% More Vision
After hitting a deer on my way home a couple months ago, I decided it was time to "upgrade" the headlight bulbs on the car once I got it back from the body shop. I researched all the brands and chose these, partly because they boasted "upto 130%" more light down road. Of course, I didn't really believe this claim, but figured I would give them a try anyway. I leave work at 1:30am and travel some very dark highways and backroads to get home, hence the deer hit! Well, while I won't say these have 130% more light output, these High beam bulbs are a bit whiter and a little brighter than the ones I replaced. Of course, the ones I replaced were the original, 16 y/o bulbs, which they say loose intensity over time. Are these a drastic improvement like they lead you to believe? Absolutely not, but they are probably close, if not equal to the Sylvania Ultras. FWIW. Update: I've had these in for a week now and I will say, they are brighter and go further out than I originally thought. I think they are a good purchase. That being said, I had also purchased the low beam bulbs of this line as well, and I'm definitely not nearly as impressed with those. ... show more

My light bulb went out on my Mazda CX-9. This was very easy to install. Very very easy I started ordering other parts thinking I was a mechanic lol. Save me money by doing it myself. And was less expensive than AutoZone or some other auto place that you can walk in and buy. Was worth the wait to do it myself and saved about 130-52bucks for a manual labor and repair ... show more

  • Fits, whiter, not exactly brighter than stock.
Style: NightGuide Platinum: 130% More Vision
Again, these are not 130% brighter than stock. They are whiter, and that's one thing I was looking for, but if your looking for brighter, this isn't it.

  • Not what I expected for the price
Style: XtremeVision: up to 100% More Vision
They are brighter but light beam has a larger diameter and don’t really improve the lighting in front of my F150. Shines up in the trees too.

  • Brighter than factory

These are much brighter than factory bulbs. But not as good as led for brightness

  • Better than LED - Here's why (2011 Corolla)
Style: XtremeVision: up to 100% More Vision
First I bought high powered LED replacements. My hope was that they would bring the benefits of LEDs in lower power consumption, long life and brighter output. I put them in and ooo they looked sparkly bright! But... when it got dark, it was a different story. In order to get the brightness, there are many source locations on the bulb. It seems that the reflector is designed for a point source that matches the 9005 bulb format. The reflectors spread the LED light in the wrong direction and basically made a really dim high beam. It was hard to tell the difference from low to high beam. So, while the LED fit in place and was bright, it did not project in the correct direction. The small amount that did point properly was very dim compared to these bulbs. So, I quickly returned the LED and bought these which are very bright, ... show more
