  • Great!
This was great because it allowed me to securely hold my camera while I am walking around and allows easy access to my camera whenever I need it.

  • Perfect solution
I expected from the pictures for the mount to be a solid plastic material. I was pleasantly surprised when it was aluminum. It feels very nice and machined well. When the mount is locked into the clip there is no wiggle or movement at all like I've seen on the Peak Designs mounts. Once you lock this baby onto your backpack straps it's not going anywhere. I had my Nikon D500 with a 16-85 on there and it didn't budge even with me jumping up and down. Now I need to get more of the accessories for the tripod. ... show more

  • Quality & Sturdiness
Received my PGYTECH Beetle Camera Clip today and paired it with another item I purchased to mount my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my backpack. The quick release plate was easy enough to remove as well as tighten with the provided tool in the box. The clip itself is extremely sturdy as it's made of metal and has three clamp levels so you can make sure it can fit your backpack straps. Once it was on there I tried it on walking around with my laptop and a few other items in my backpack. (You'll want to make sure that it sits nicely on the backpack straps as the clamp can feel like it's digging into your chest when you're making arm movements.) I found it difficult to remove the clip after I was done but because it was difficult to remove, I found that was actually a good thing. It kept my iPhone 12 Pro Max tightly in place and it's a great product. Only reason why I gave it a 4/5 value for the money is that it's still quite expensive. however, it's still a few dollars cheaper than the peak design 3.0 camera clip which is about $74.99. ... show more

  • Quick access
Liking this thing. I didn't know if I wanted to try the Peak Designs V3 or this, and went for the cheap option. Seemed like this would be easier to move between bags, so I was willing to take chance on it having less grip. Very new to photography, but you don't need experience to know that having a DSLR dangling off your neck is annoying for you and less safe for the camera. I've only tested it with my lighter lenses, and my camera body is very light (Canon SL3), but this clip is holding firm when I give it a strong tug. Removing the plate is easy to do when you want to, but it's not something you can do accidentally. You have to firmly dig up a clasp that should be very taut. I can VERY slightly get it to move a bit when I pull down hard on it, but it honestly might be the fabric on the backpack wiggling, and this is with a LOT of pressure pulling down. My SL3 + EFS 10-18mm barely feels like it's there. However, my main carry lens will be the EFS 55-135mm, but the weight difference between the two isn't too major. I also have a 60D and a Tamron 70-200mm, so I'll try attaching that enormous setup on there just for the heck of it. I'm 95% sure the clip will hold up to that just fine. The release is good. I wanted to be able to quickly get my camera up to my eye and ready to shoot on my upcoming trip to Yellowstone. You with a lighter camera, you CAN get it with one hand if you really needed to, but it's a bit fumbly. With two hands it can be super quick. From the left strap of a backpack, you'd be using your left hand to press in the release button on that side (assuming you left it unlocked), with your right hand on your camera grip. It's pretty easy to get back in there too... I look down and can see components line up and slide it right down in. The one I received does not give much audible feedback when the clip locks to the plate -- a satisfying click would be nice -- but it locks in really easily. The release button can be rotated and doubles as a lock, for when you don't even want to accidentally press the release button. Lastly, the base plate fits my tripod perfectly, which I'm sure experienced photographers would expect from reading descriptions, but for me it was something I was wondering about. This was a good buy from Prime Day, and my main regret right now is that I didn't buy two. ... show more

  • Best solution to carry mirrorless camera
I loved this clip, it is holding my Sony a7iii with 25-105 lens with godox 380 flashlight firmly. It reduces the hassle of removing flashlight, putting the camera in the bag and again taking it out for next photo op on my travel. Used it for 1 trip so far. Recommended over costly priced name brands.

  • Very Happy
Like others, I read the reviews on this product before purchasing. One caught my eye when they explained that the clip didn’t stay on properly. I decided to give it a chance since the price point was reasonable and figured I could return it if the clip didn’t hold. I put it on my hiking day pack, clicked the camera into place and to be safe I put the camera strap through a backpack strap just in case the clip came off. I am happy to report that on all my hiking trips so far (about 4 ranging 6-10 miles) I have had no trouble with the clip coming undone and falling off. I am very happy with this product and my Nikon D7000 has a good place to stay on while I am not using it. ... show more

  • Can easily come undone.
It worked well for the purpose, but on thicker backpack straps, it makes it easy for the clasp to come undone. I was shoving my backpack under the airplane seat and apparently it came off without my knowing. Now I'm unfortunately out $79. Bought the peak design instead. Don't know why it didn't show up in my search in the first place ... show more
