I play a lot of golf and have my own custom set. My son in law wanted to learn to play. This is great starter set with everything you need. Better quality than I expected for the price and well made. Great starter through intermediate set of drivers, a short set (5-9) of irons, two wedges and a putter. Overall quality is better than I expected, with titanium driver and steel fairway woods, graphite shafts on everything with moderate flex. If you have a strong swing requiring a lot of flex, these shafts are less than you need. Everything comes with a full-size bag, perfect if you need to add long irons (2-4) or any other clubs to the bag. These are replacing a set of 20+ year old King Cobra Irons and Calloway drivers for me. I was a little unsure if a set of relatively inexpensive modern clubs could replace a top-of-the-line (now) "vintage" club but so far my game has not suffered at all and the technology in them has actually (possibly?) made me slightly better. This is absolutely a great set for a beginner as it includes everything you need and they are good clubs overall. It also works well for someone a bit more seasoned that wants a modern set of clubs without spending a lot of money. No, the "PGF" brand won't impress the Country Club folk like Ping or Titleist clubs, but they are a solid club at a good price and your game will not suffer because of the clubs (and possibly even improve if you are using older technology).
