  • Work perfect
Size: full Color: Polished Chrome
The media could not be loaded. Can't find something cheaper, it worked perfectly. Installed without any problems. I was worried about because remember; you get what you pay for, but this was the exception. Lower price, great quality. Only issue was that don't come with a way to support the valve. In my case I used Cooper pipe straps. ... show more

  • Wouldn't get again
Size: 2.50 x 2.50 x 2.50 inches Color: Brushed Nickel
The handles look good and didn't leak but not perfectly straight. Also if you don't have the valve for a pfister don't buy it. I made this mistake and it costed me time to find the valve and install it.

  • Box label indicates Ceramic Disc Valve, Actually Contained Rubber Seal Valves
Size: 2.50 x 2.50 x 2.50 inches Color: Brushed Nickel
Overall I am very happy with the product. It was easy to install and looks great. The only issue was how the included stems were the old style rubber seal type, not Ceramic as described on the box they came it. This was not much of an issue because the ceramic valves I had were not leaking. The diverter stem valve I had was the same seal as the one received, though the new one was a 1/4 turn instead of the 1/2 turn it replaced. That was actually better for this application as it was easier to assemble as a no interference installation in regard to the Hot and Cold handle clearance (existing H & C were 1/2 turn). I would suggest that anyone purchasing this specifically to address a leaky valve first verify whether their existing stems are Ceramic or Rubber seal valves as they are not interchangeable. The rough-in body in the wall that they screw into determines which valve to use. It is unlikely that a Ceramic seal is leaking, as those have a long life with no wear by design. If you have Ceramic valves, then, you end up with two rubber valves that you'll never need. If you have Ceramic valves and they are actually leaking this kit may not include everything you need to get the job done. Regarding tools, you will need a stem socket wrench (found a Husky brand at Home Depot), and, if you have to replace the rubber valve seats (included) a 5/16" square wrench will also be necessary. (Pfister customer service told me this was included, it is not) What's in the box: 3 Handles with a hex key for securing the handles to the stems. 3 Stem Extenders 3 sets of Trim Flanges and retainer Sleeves, with nylon bushing Hot and Cold Rubber Seal Valves (presumably opposite rotation, as one is labeled 11, the other 15) 3 Valve Seats for the rubber seal valves Shower Arm and trim Flange To finish out the Nickel trim upgrade I also purchased a matching spout and overflow drain cover in Nickel. ... show more

  • Best Diverter Valve Option on a Budget
Size: full Color: Polished Chrome
The project was to add a handheld sprayer to an existing fiberglass tub/shower unit on a low budget. This is the only purchase option I found on Amazon for less than $50 where the chrome trim and recessed valve are sold together. This diverter valve has 4-ports and 1- 1/2" threaded brass plug is supplied to block off the unused port. The front end of the shower wall was accessible from the opposite side. The sheetrock was cut to access the 1/2" PEX piping to the existing upper shower head. A hole saw was used to drill a hole for mounting the diverter valve, and a 2nd hole for the $20 Weirun_G-80210 handheld sprayer hose connector & head holder. When installed, the 1/2" PEX water supply was piped to the bottom port and 1/2" brass male adapter. The top port was plugged using the supplied 1/2" threaded brass plug. From the back, the left side port was piped to the handheld wall connector, and the right to the existing shower head. A 2X4 wood brace was added between wall studs to secure the diverter valve piping. The entire project cost about $70 that included the Pfister 015-38BC diverter valve, Werun sprayer connector/holder, 3 - 1/2" male PEX adapters, 1 - 1/2" PEX 90 ell, 5 ft - 1/2" PEX pipe, 1/2" cinch rings. No water leaks were found. The sheetrock removed for access was re-used to close the hole, joints taped, sanded, and painted. Mixing chrome fittings with existing brushed nickel was not very noticeable, and not justified to spend $100's+ to change the trim. ... show more

  • A very nice set (for somebody else).
Size: 2.50 x 2.50 x 2.50 inches Color: Brushed Nickel
I think that I made a mistake buying these, because I thought I was going to save money by not having a plumber come to replace my whole plumbing set up and convert to something modern. I called the customer service person at Pfister and they claimed this was the only other style of replacement trim pieces that would go on my existing rough-in kit. That may or may not be true. I sure wasted a lot of time trying to do something else. Anyway, I ended up getting a plumber anyway. They’re not a style that goes well with my house, my cabinets, my sink faucet, or my tile. I am just trying to sell my house and the old ones were even worse, so I guess in that sense it’s an improvement. There’s a set screw in the diverter handle that shows no matter how you attach the handle. There is one in the other 2 handles, but they are usually sideways. I think that’s an unfortunate aspect. Since the thing spins around to allow water to the tub or shower, you just have to remember to point it towards the tub direction. Otherwise, if it’s pointing to the shower, when you get in you’ll spray your head or your arm with cold water until it warms up. The other thing that bugged me is pfister’s spout, showerhead, and this trim set are all brushed nickel, but the 5 individual pieces aren’t the same color. ... show more
