Opens and Close automatically and otherwise seems ok. However, the spring that does that is fairly stiff (more than necessary). The open/close action is a bit violent and the final closing operation (push the extended handle back into the umbrella) is too difficult and the wife found it too difficult to do and was in fear of breaking it. ... show more

I researched what I thought would be the best umbrellas for the money and my decision turn out wrong. This umbrella worked well until I used it in a medium heavy rainstorm. Quality product for the price! Only complaint is the handle has a flimsy feeling to it. Feels like a moderate wind would just break it where it meets the handle. I don’t plan on using it in windy weather, just bought spares so I would stop taking my main umbrella out of my car to walk the dog and forget to put it back. Ordered these for a family trip to Costa Rica during rainy season and they are awesome! They open and close with the touch of a button and are nice and large enough to share. They feel and look like a quality product. I highly recomment if you need a compact but very functional umbrella.

I shook the umbrellas very hard to try to get them to turn inside out. They did, but bounced back easily. They are almost full auto. The button opens it completely, and pressing again will collapse the umbrella, you just need to put the Velcro strap back on and collapse the shaft by hand. You could search all night for a good deal on an auto umbrella. This isn't super light weight, but for the price, 2 umbrellas are better than one. Great deal ! ... show more
