I've been using this carrier for about a year now. Has held up very well. I thought my cat would be bigger because of how quickly he grew as a kitten and the cat that I guessed was his father (alley strays) was huge, but he stopped growing at about average size. It's a bit big for vet visits, but he seems very comfortable in it. It is great when I have to take him to my aunt's when I go out of town. The drive is well over an hour so the collapsible litter box comes in handy. I've also had to bring him to the office a couple times on the way to getting him to my aunt's, so having everything I need right there works wonderfully. I put a folded up towel on the bottom for his comfort and we've never had a problem. ... show more

The size is OK, the overall quality is good...in my opinion, the litter box could use a cover and be a little more rigid and have a cover, but other than that.... it's not too big and not too heavy...I get asked frequently where I got it and everybody wants one....

I have a smaller soft carrier for our little 7lb cat. We just acquired a big old male (18 lb) who had previously lived outdoors as a stray the last 2 years. He is now an indoor only cat, but although somewhat mellow, he is not open to being handled. However he is VERY food motivated. I’ve had no problems getting him in by tossing in his favorite treat. He doesn’t fight to get out, but he’s very people oriented too, so enjoys just sitting there and watching all the activity at the vet. He’s never scratched or attacked the carrier. So I don’t know if it would hold up with a very large cat who didn’t want to be there. This carrier is plenty big enough for our big guy. He seems extremely comfortable and has plenty of viewing options. I did leave it out and open for a couple of weeks after first purchase so it wasn’t a scary new thing when it was time to use it. ... show more

my cat does not like to be caged up. Excellent cage for a couple of hours driving. It was spacious and he had plenty of room to rest. I would definitely recommend this product. This is well made and sturdy. Cat scratched it throughout the trip in the car and it didn't rip. I liked how it had a small, foldable, litter container and a place for the cat to lay and rest on the side of it made all into one unit. It fit inside my car on the back seat using up one side of the car. Because my car rear seats are not flat(Toyota camry) I had to use a bed wedge to help level the carrier. The handles are sturdy. The carrier came with a pop up water bowl and food bag that snapped on the outside of the carrier keeping all the cat supplies together.
