My Son loves Pete's character and he got to know about it from his school library. Book is fun to read and colors are bright and inviting to kids. It has helped his build his sight work vocabulary. These books are good but you need to know they are the short story of the real books. If you have read the individual books you realize these are the short story books. Quick reads for bedtime stories. Kids still love them.

But this as a gift for my granddaughter for her birthday. I bought it in addition to Pete the cat soft puppet. This is a cute gift set can’t go wrong with the price for these beginning reader books.
