I have one in the Living room and I wanted another for the Dining room just so I can keep a watch on my doggies. A couple of years ago, I had a broken waterpipe upstairs and when i got home from work, there was water everywhere, pouring down from the ceilings and even from the light fixtures, fortunately nothing bad happened to my doggies. I wanted another petcube so I could see what was going on in my house while I was out. This certainly does the job and gives me crisp clear video streams. Also, its very easy to set up, the pet cube app that you download on your phone allows the addition of more petcube cams and you can rename each one as you want. Its a great deal! I’m giving this four stars because I had trouble getting it to work the Wi-Fi. Finally had to turn Wi-Fi off to connect. Other than that I love it and I can check on my dog while at work. I can tell her to stop barking if needed & just talk to her.

After customer service worked its magic its now fully functional. When i leave the house empty it regularly triggers either motion or sound and no one is there. that's not really a problem for me i think its funny. I do have several smart lights, that i think are triggering the motion. no idea what triggers the sound. i have check and yes the the motion detected notification are mostly related to a smart hallway light coming on and off. I have been using it as a way to see how my dog is dealing with her separation stress. initially there was some issues getting it to record and play back sound when i was away from my home network. Customer service reached out to me and adjusted what digital channels it was one and after a week of testing seems to return a stable sound feed. I can now start using this to fully make sure my little dog is happy when i step out for a bit. ... show more

Camera was easy to set up and quality is surprisingly good. Only complaint is losing connection. If the power goes off, the entire setup process has to be done again. Occasionally it will just got offline for no reason and once again, the setup process has to be redone.

As many have stated, you have to pay for a subscription plan to access all the features. I knew that going in, and am happy using just the live video/sound capability. The night vision is surprisingly good, but the sound is only OK. Forget about using it to talk to your pet, the speaker on the camera sounds horrible. Setup and the app are really easy, but I found that it can have trouble connecting to our Wi-Fi unless it’s in the same room as the router. Even the room next door was sometimes too far. Bottom line, it’s a solid camera for only viewing a live feed of your pet and sometimes hearing what they’re up to. *4.5/5 stars- I was contacted by the company and asked to update my review. I will update it because they did work with me, but I want to be fair to the consumers. I returned it because it wasn't what I was looking for. That is not the fault of the product, I was not aware of how the product works. I need a home surveillance system and will set one up in my home, including the area where my cats roam. I did find it difficult to remove my payment method. I signed up for a subscription because I thought I would keep the product and I found it difficult to remove my payment info from the app. I was able to cancel my subscription but couldn't remove my card info because it's one of those where you have to have one form of payment on file before removing another one. I contacted the company and they removed my payment info AND refunded me my subscription fee. I was very happy for that but removing your financials should be easier than it was. ** It's a great product but it's not for me. The night vision is surprisingly good. The video quality is good, too. I have the trial subscription and didn't use it much since I quickly figured out that I didn't want to keep it. So, I can't comment as to the cloud compatibility. Pet cube is not a surveillance system. I like the concept and what Pet Cube can provide but it doesn't work for me. It is not what i thought it would be. I should've read more reviews or asked questions. No fault on the product, tho. Set-up was a tiny bit of a hassle. There is QR that has to be read by your phone and I don't know if it was my phone or the code but it took a long time to read it. Maybe the firmware was also updating during that time and i didn't know it. Wi-fi connection was fairly easy, too. I have 3 cats and one of them is pooping right beside the litter box instead of inside it. I don't know which one is doing it or why it's doing it. Is it due to bullying, is the cat physically not able to jump in the box? Is the cat just being a turd?? I don't know. The litter can be freshly changed and as soon as I turn my back it still happens. Whichever cat is doing it is definitely a ninja pooper. I got the cameras hoping that i could go back through the video timeline and find the point when the load is dropped and then rewind to see who has the stealthy sphincter and to see what else is happening in the moment besides the pooping. Is another cat hogging the loo, etc.? The cameras alert as to motion and i see one cat come around and then sniff at the floor, then another cat comes in to see what the sniffing is about. Since the cameras only record short snippets of video and then stop, it remains a mystery. The video snippet stops before any action happens. But the next video snippet shows the turd in the floor and the cats on the other side of the room as if nothing happened. I still don't know who is doing the dirty deed and since they are not likely to fess up or snitch, I'll never know unless i have some kind of continuous surveillance video. But i do know that i am returning the cameras and getting an actual home surveillance system, like Nest, etc. I think it will work better for what I need. I'm tired of cleaning up after these little turds plus, I can have peace of mind knowing that I can check my home throughout for signs of intruders. ... show more
