I use this product for my two dogs whenever I see a flea. They're both bigger, one is 40 pounds and one is 80 pounds, but one of the pills per day gets the job done. It does need to be coupled with something to spray their bedding and carpeting with to prevent reinfestation, but in terms of getting rid of the fleas on the dogs these work so well. Give them a pill, wait 30 or 40 minutes, then give the dog a bath to wash off any hiding eggs or larvae, spray their bedding, and after the 6 days of doses are up you'll be flea-free again. Flea eggs on your animals can continue to hatch for 7-10 days so to be on the safe side getting 2 packages of these per dog is what I personally like to do. ... show more

A note before the rest: this product is JUST to kill fleas currently hatched and roaming around on your dog. It does NOT kill eggs. It does NOT continue to kill after the initial effects wear off. It will, however, kill every single flea on your dog during its effective period. You will need to clear your environment of fleas as well. If you have an outside dog, or one you bring into your yard to do its business, you'll need to treat your yard. These tablets are safe to use every single day with your dog. I don't know how it's possible, but I've given it to my dog 3 days in a row with zero side effects. It also doesn't interact with any other medication at all. UPDATE: gave the second dose and it’s not working at all. Definitely will not purchase again! I used this on my dogs and not sure if it even works! I had to give my dog another pill. I had bought two boxes of this, so hopefully I did not waste my money.

I use this for killing fleas on my stray/feral cats. You have to be very careful because dogs and cats sometimes can't take the same drugs, but with this medicine it's the same drug, just a different dose. If you check the cat dose, it's about 11mg, but there is a pretty wide therapeutic window. One of these dog sized tablets can treat 4-5 cats. I just crush it up, mix it with wet food and put it on 4 or 5 paper plates. So far, it's working great! At first, when the fleas start responding to the anticholinergic effects of the drug the cats will actually scratch a little more than usual, but that subsides. ... show more

I had a flea infestation (more than one flea on each dog) and did not want to pay the bigger price for the other popular brand, so I tried these. Having experience on how these products should work, I knew what I could expect. I gave a pill (hidden in peanut butter, so I don't now if the dogs would have liked the flavor) to each dog two times, two days apart and did all the other preventative measures like vacuuming the whole house, spraying with a dog friendly flea and tick spray and putting cedar bark mulch out around the house.
