  • The most helpful product i have ever purchased for my dog. Love this cart!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. My 12 year old rat terrier sometimes doesn’t want to walk down to the grassy dog park (which is a luxury in the Sierras, since we don’t have a lot of grass), so i got this cart, hoping it would make the trek easier for her. Once she was trained to jump in (through a treat reward system—i’d give her a small treat each time she jumped in—just make sure the beak is on!), getting her from point a to b was easy. Plus, sometimes her arthritis will cause a limp, or her paws get sore from hyperkeratosis, so now I don’t need to carry her back to the house in those rare instances. I like that the cart is low to the ground so she can hop in...she doesn’t like to be picked up, so with this product, we can avoid that. Plus, I like that it doesn’t look like a baby stroller (she’s definitely my babe, but I don’t want to walk her in something that looks like a baby stroller). It was very easy to assemble, (the wheels just clipped on, and i didnt even need the directions,) and it has cupholders, and a small storage space for phone and keys and treats and poop bags. I wish the storage was bigger but i put her leash in the cart with her and there is plenty of room. It also changes directions very easily. Also — there is a back door, by the handles, and i can also lift up the entire front section, which is sometimes nice. I only wish two things 1) that it were sturdier, with rubber wheels instead of plastic (like those wagons everyone uses nowadays), and more solid—not so much for my dog, but for me. I accidentally bumped the cup holder from the bottom and it fell off...it went back on no problem, but still. In Tahoe sometimes we are on dirt or bark trails that go down to the lake or dog park, and i feel like I am damaging the cart wheels in some way on that terrain. But on pavement it’s PERFECT. I would get this product again in a heartbeat. 2) The only other thing i wish were different was that i could collapse it to save space when not in use. I don’t have a lot of space, so that would also make this product even better. That said, i still love this thing (because my dog loves it and it’s easy to use) and highly recommend if your dog has health issues, like arthritis, or just doesn’t want to walk a far distance to get to your destination. I had a video to add of my dog jumping in but it looks like i can only add photos. ... show more

  • Great stroller for french bulldog.
The excursion turned out to be perfect for my 25lb Frenchie. He’s 8 months old and I wanted to be able to travel with him and not leave him in the car when I run inside to use the restroom. This thing is big enough for him to have plenty of room to sit, turn around or lay down. I brought it in, unpacked it and let him play on it a few days to get used to it. He’s pretty hyper some times so I took him on a walk first and wore him out and then put him in through the back door. It worked perfect. The tires show online that they are plastic and I was skeptical about getting this stroller because of that. However they are actually like a spongy rubbery type material that does not feel like a plastic. My only complaint was that I contacted pet gear to see if I could get a spare set of wheels for when these eventually wear out and they were quite rude via email. The picture shows my dog with the top up but he does have plenty of room when the top is down. ... show more

  • Great for long walks with an older dog
The media could not be loaded. Our baby is eleven years old and not able to walk as far as he once could. We got this stroller so that we could continue to take him on long walks. He took to it right away, even nosed the back of it while walking to let us know he wanted to get in. (We've had a dog bike stroller for years, though, so he was familiar with the concept.) The video I uploaded shows his very first time in the stroller. He likes it! There's a bit of a learning curve as far as getting in and out, but we'll get there pretty quickly, I think. He's only 28 pounds. I question the claim that this will work for dogs up to 100 pounds. For one thing, you'd have to be REALLY strong to push a dog that heavy up any sort of incline. For another, that would be a dog that's almost four times as big as ours, and as you can see, he fits fine but doesn't have a lot of extra space. Going now to search to see whether Pet Gear makes a canopy that can be added to this. That would be great! ... show more

  • A good fix for a puppy who won't walk!
I bought this stroller when my German Shepherd puppy was three months old and refused to walk more than 5 feet without laying down! It was the start of the summer and I love going on long walks. I couldn't fathom a whole summer of leaving the puppy at home while I go out on long walks. My pup was initially unsure about the stroller, but after a few blocks of walking he got used to it and laid down. Now he loves it! He lays down and takes a nap, while getting fresh air, when I go on long walks and run errands. I don't have to leave him home and feel guilty anymore. It looks pretty ridiculous, walking around with a puppy in a stroller, but once you get over caring what other people think, it is a god send! The front wheels are pretty sucky, and it isn't the smoothest stroller to maneuver, but it works and gets the job done! I would recommend it! ... show more

  • Expensive, but worth the price. Very well made
I am so happy I purchased the no zip excursion stroller. It’s just the right size for my rescue beagle. For people with larger dogs, the expedition might work. My pup has a torn acl, so longer walks tire her out. Plus she hates wearing her leg brace, hence putting her in the stroller when she gets tired is awesome. Then my other dog and I can still take longer walks and my pup doesn’t miss out since she’s in the stroller. I used judicious amounts of treats to desensitize her to the stroller. She loves her stroller! I do too. p.s. I took out the pad, traced the outline onto an old yoga mat and cut it out. The rubbery cushion is easy to clean and tacky enough to stay put. ... show more
