I'm from Texas and love jerky. I try a new brand about once a month. This brand kept showing up in my search, so decided to try it. Unfortunately it is the worst jerky I've ever tried. It tastes like it's been burnt and then a sticky coating was put over it. I've had dry jerky before but this just crumbles... weird. I thought maybe it was past it's expiration date, but that's not until Dec 2025. So it's just bad quality jerky. I had my friends try it as well and they all said the same. It's just gross. I’m giving four stars for the quality of the meat and the amount for the price. We are extremely picky about our jerky, especially the moisture content. People’s Choice is almost there for us, but still too moist. We like very dry (but not fall apart the minute you touch it) jerky. This just didn’t fit the bill. The taste was pretty good, but again just didn’t quite live up to our expectations. This jerky is definitely on the sweeter side, so if you like your jerky salty or without sugar, this isn’t the right pick. We like salty and highly peppered jerky, so we bought the Black Pepper flavor. It had a black pepper flavor to it, but the brown sugar overwhelmed most of the other flavors. Again, if you like moist jerky that has a very sweet taste, this is for you. However, if you’re like my family and prefer your cow dry as the desert and just as salty/peppery, I would recommend No Man’s Land. ... show more

I bought this product because it was a popular choice. I should have paid better attention to the details. It specifically says it is peppered beef jerky. For my taste it is too peppery. my mouth is still burning after 5 minutes. I enjoy some pepper, but I am not a fan of the burn going on and on. This is the way jerky should be. Amazing taste not overly seasoned. No other jerky Brands compare. I’m gonna order another flavor next time, I’m sure I will not be disappointed. Enjoy !!!

This is the worst tasting beef jerky I have ever had. The sugar content is insanely high. The onion taste spoiled. Will never order again and the dogs wont even eat it. 20 Days later.... had forgotten about em (a lot has happen) I seen em on the shelf and decided if a second go at it would be different, Yeah, much. I didn't taste any onion or sugar at all the meat was fresh just perfectly cured, and the PEPPER, oh my, yes it is exactly the pepper flavor I wanted. So nice. Who knows, but ... show more
