It says it’s on the tough side, old fashioned. It’s not tough like I like it and it’s sweet. I hate sweet jerky. If I wanted sweet I would’ve bought teriyaki flavored. Very disappointed , it’s very greasy too, chewy fat hanging off. I can’t believe I paid so much , every time I looked for old fashioned tough jerky this popped up so I gave it a try. I’m giving four stars for the quality of the meat and the amount for the price. We are extremely picky about our jerky, especially the moisture content. People’s Choice is almost there for us, but still too moist. We like very dry (but not fall apart the minute you touch it) jerky. This just didn’t fit the bill. The taste was pretty good, but again just didn’t quite live up to our expectations. This jerky is definitely on the sweeter side, so if you like your jerky salty or without sugar, this isn’t the right pick. We like salty and highly peppered jerky, so we bought the Black Pepper flavor. It had a black pepper flavor to it, but the brown sugar overwhelmed most of the other flavors. Again, if you like moist jerky that has a very sweet taste, this is for you. However, if you’re like my family and prefer your cow dry as the desert and just as salty/peppery, I would recommend No Man’s Land. ... show more

This product just ain’t for me I thought it would be on the drier side and not have sugar. I am a fan of the drier jerky that doesn’t have sugar in it that they make.

This is the way jerky should be. Amazing taste not overly seasoned. No other jerky Brands compare. I’m gonna order another flavor next time, I’m sure I will not be disappointed. Enjoy !!!

Not sure why, but the sweetness of this jerky tastes off. Texture is ok and other flavors from this brand are fine, this is just a miss
