I was on the fence about my feelings about this phone case. On the one hand it seemed durable which is great but it’s slick so I drop it a good bit and it adds a decent amount of bulk. Then my phone got run over in a parking lot…. And it’s fine. The screen protector broke in several places but the phone landed screen side down with the plastic clip on the back. Whole thing got run over by both the front and the back of the SUV’s tires and the only sign is a busted screen protector and a few scuffs of plastic on the case. I love this case. I bought it for my husband who works on construction sites. I am going to buy one for myself. I have a military-grade case now, but it just does not protect as I expected and my screen cover still gets cracked. I am switching to this case for better grip and better protection.

The case it’s self is great. Built well and easy to put on. The belt clip not so much. Very thin, flex’s way to much and the stand option in gages when you try to sit, which causes the whole thing to slip of your belt.

Rotating portion of belt clip held by two TINY pieces of fragile plastic. Getting a warranty replacement means paying $6 shipping each time. I’m on the 4th holster now. Frustrating. The phone case is fine but the holster will only keep breaking due to a cheap/thin holster rotator design. Boooo Pelican. Dissatisfied. Yes I contacted Pelican customer support and their response is, “ Our only cases with a holster will be the Shield and Voyager. Our Voyager case will be pricier but this is due to the MagSafe option in the case for MagSafe accessories (chargers, wallets, etc) This case also comes with a holster, however, it will be the same holster design as the Shield.” ... show more

    • A new standard in phone cases
This review is being written after installing my second one of these cases! I live a very active life and my phones see a lot of abuse. I have just grown accustomed to having to replace back glass and so forth, with any case I have owned. I had never tried a pelican case to this point so decided to give one a try based on their description and the success I have had with their other products. This phone case was no exception!! I literally wrote the first case out to the point of pieces being broken off. When I opened the case up for the first time since installation, I was expecting something on the phone to be broken. WRONG!! The phone still looked new with no visible damage or markings. First time I have had a phone last this long without any damage! I will not be buying any other case from now on, I will just stick with what they put out. It is worth whatever the current cost is at the time of purchase. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have (what I assume to be) the best protection on the market!!! ... show more
