I have these trees on display year-round. I initially bought them for an Easter tree project and have since kept them out in various areas of the living room and dining room. They are so cute and well-made. At first, I thought the fact that the wires for the trunk and branches' lights were wrapped in something like plumber's tape or white electrical tape (with some black artistic rendering of something resembling bark) would look cheap or cheesy, but, if it does to someone else, I don't care. They're adorable and well done, and you have to make a fairly close inspection of the trees to see that detail, anyway. Each tree uses three AA batteries. If I did not use rechargeable AA batteries in my home, I would not want to buy regular one-time use batteries for this decoration. Although, in fairness, I doubt they deplete the normal batteries all that quickly. The rechargeable batteries I use most in these trees are an off-brand and have been finicky, so I doubt it's the trees' fault that one or more batteries are not performing as they should. The trees have three settings: off, an automatic timer setting, and a setting that is continuously on. I prefer to keep them continuously on, though I sometimes switch to the automatic timer setting to tell myself I am conserving battery power or not wearing the trees out. I recommend these trees for anyone considering purchasing them. I like them much more than I anticipated I might. ... show more

I use one in a guest bathroom (instead of a candle) and love the fact that it has an automatic off feature if you choose to use it. I can punch the button and in 4 hours it turns off. It actually gives off good light and is attractive.
