This is a pretty decent stand with lots of features for the price. There are better more heavy duty stands out there but very few of any with as many feature for the price. I have one of these holding up my 14x14 floor tom while sporting a 20 inch ride with ease. I crash on the ride hard as well and it holds solid. Same with the floor tom it holds up. Didn't even have to angle the foot under the tom like with most lightweight stands.

Pearl has made an excellent quality stand at a reasonable price. It is a great match to the CenterStage kit that I bought at the same time for my first set of drums. I had owned a Pearl snare stand for a few years and it also is of sturdy build and a fine finish on the hardware and rubber parts.

Nice mid-weight cymbal stand. I mount a 20" Paiste Giant Beat crash/ride. I only extend the boom arm about 4". WIth one leg directly below the cymbal I feel confident the stand would be stable with the boom arm out another 6" or so. I would hesitate to mount a heavier cymbal out 5"+ without a counter weight. ... show more
