    • Terrible Design: Stand Still Turns When Tightened. Waste of Money

This stand does not function the way a typical cymbal stand is supposed to. Even when tightened all the way, the upper half still freely rotates in the lower column. This becomes a serious problem when every time you strike your cymbal, it starts to turn AWAY from the rest of your kit. I ordered another stand, thinking it was a small defect, and the second one had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! This is a TERRIBLE stand design and fails miserably at what should be such a basic task: hold a cymbal STILL while it is hit. Do not buy this stand, do not waste your time and money. I've played with this stand for a while now and I must say that it's a major improvement from playing with straight stands my entire life......although,I thing kind of bothers me a bit,the fact that the stand is really snug in a few stops is kinda annoying,there are no memory locks on the boom,and the part that holds the boom assembly pops out of the top tier.....other than that it's a good stand. ... show more

I bought this stand thinking that I would get it fast, since I am part of Prime. it took two weeks, and it is very light, I am using digital cymbals on it, the counter balance weight does not balance the stand any better. It would be perfect for a smaller cymbal, pay another 5-10 dollars and by a DW which is ten times better. serious drummers go else were. ... show more
