A leg cloth covers each leg pole with an adjustable hook, which makes the whole cover tightly connected to the frame to protect it from wind.

    • This tent worked perfectly for me ...
I purchased this tent to provide cover for an outside project I was working on, one that was too big for a garage. I put it up in late March and just took it down in late October. In summary, it was *perfect* for the seven months I needed it; I was grateful every time I worked under it, whether it was sunny and hot or cool and rainy. After reading the earlier reviews, I was a little worried that it might not hold up well, but my experience was the exact opposite; I found it quite adequately sturdy as long as it was well and properly tied down. I suspect that at least some of the other, more negative experiences were related to either snow loading (which I did not subject this tent to -- nor would I) or they weren't adequately secured. I went to some effort to tie it down at all four corners *very* securely and as a result, it barely moved during the worst of the storms that came through. FWIW, I tied it from where the eave of the tent joins the corner upright pole, to either the house or a nearby tree trunk; that way, I could easily walk under the lines. I do not believe that sandbags are adequate for any but the tamest wind conditions. I would buy this tent again in a heartbeat, as long as I didn't need protection from the snow and as long as I can tie it down *very* securely to something immovable at each corner. ... show more

This is probably a fine protection tent for a one day event, but my wife wanted a winter season car port for next to the barn. I got this, thinking it would serve but it ripped itself a new one at the first wintery mix rain storm of the year. The metal bracing tore out and bent over. The tiny little stakes tore out of the ground and smashed her car windows. The only thing that save her car body from getting totalled by flying debris beating it like Loki at the end of avengers, was one remaining rope I had tied to the barn foundation. I can't fix or tear this trash down until the rain stops and I'm really angry right now. I'm not angry at the manufacturer. I'm angry at myself for buying this thing and thinking it would work for a season. Waste of my money and now I have to waste my one day off redesigning, fixing, and cleaning it up too. I'm going to try and anchor it with 3ft rebar spikes, for now, and shore up the ripped pipe with plumbing parts when it's safe to stand under it again. What this design needs are some cross members to keep the lower legs from pushing towards each other when the wind balloons out the sidewall. There's no shear strength in this design at all. I tried to fill buckets with sand for each leg and the wind lifted that up and dumped it out.. no good. With the climate around here changing so drastically the last couple years and wind picking up to speeds normally seen in hurricanes down south, I can't see this tent being anything other that a nice idea with a terrible outcome. I used it this weekend for a renfaire, first time put together and followed all the instructions. Instructions were easy to understand and its fairly sturdy but needs more supporting weights than it comes with. One bar arrived slightly bent, making it impossible to put the connector pieces on, but was easy to bend back and use with a rubber mallet. Customer service is alao super quick to send replacement parts. We had some 25mph gusts that weekend that did pick up the tent a little, but extra weights should fix that. The roof and sidewall fabric covers and the ground nails are extremely high quality! Customer service is a little difficult, but they have their own hoops to jump through, can't fault them on that. I wouldn't buy it again for my purpose but it's not bad. ... show more

I recently purchased the PEAKTOP OUTDOOR 10 x 20 ft Upgraded Heavy Duty Carport Car Canopy with Removable Sidewalls, Portable Garage Tent Boat Shelter with Reinforced Triangular Beams and 4 Weight Bags in Silver Gray, but unfortunately, I was not impressed with this product. Despite its claims of being heavy duty, it was actually quite flimsy and did not hold up well in even the slightest storm. During a recent mild storm, the carport was blown away and damaged. The reinforced triangular beams and 4 weight bags were not enough to keep this carport steady and secure. Additionally, the sidewalls were not as removable as advertised, making it difficult to adjust the canopy to my liking. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of this product and its inability to withstand even mild weather. While it may have been a good value for its price point, the lack of durability and stability make it a poor investment in the long run. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and sturdy carport or shelter. ... show more
