Good taste and plenty of it, but there must be a typo on the amount of water needed. 3/4 cup gives you a chalky mess. This bag needs at least 2 cups of water for a non crunchy edible meal.

Only took 3/4 cup of water to cook. That cut down on cook time and water runs while back packing. Reportedly had about 1/3 more calories than a comparable mountain house meal, although this claim seems dubious as the weight and size was about the same. The flavor was great.

The meat is plentiful and amazingly tender and juicy for dehydrated fare, and the mushrooms are flavorful and yummy. The problem is that it is all just a bit too rich and gooey.
