  • Now I understand the hype...
Style: Premium
This product has a cult following. I really love the leash. Its small, very sturdy, and comfortable. It handles a Canon R6 easily and adding a 24-105mm L lens is equally fine though I would opt for a wider strap if you will be wearing it with a zoom lens for long periods of time.

  • Top notch quality
Style: Premium
Easy to install, feels very sturdy, nothing cheap. Just like the saying "buy a $50 helmet when you value your head at $50", when carrying an expensive camera, you want to feel like the leash won't let you down.

  • Best Camera Strap I Have Ever Used!
Style: Premium
This is the best camera strap I have ever tried and is an immediate recommendation from me. Firstly, this camera strap is small and made from quality material. The strap is most similar to that of a car seat belt but because of it's compact design, it is surprisingly very comfortable to wear. The strap also has loops on the sides to easily adjust the height of the strap which is much better than the regular stock straps your camera comes with. Secondly, this strap has what Peak Design calls their "Anchor Link System" and it is an absolute game changer. They are quick release straps that enable you to easily take off the strap for easy storage or use while taking pictures. The main issue with regular straps is that the tend to get in the way when you want to take a portrait shot with your camera but with this strap, you can easily detach the anchor and easily attach it later. They even include 2 more anchors and another item to screw into the bottom of the camera to attach another anchor point so you can wear the camera across the body (which is my preferred way to wear this strap). Lastly, this strap has made me want to take my camera out more often. It's great design, quick release, and the portability make this strap truly a must have item. Just buy it! ... show more

  • Perfect with some mods when using it on a phone case
Style: Premium
I purchased this because I have young kids and primarily use my phone to take pictures of them. Parents all know that you need your hands free at the drop of a second. My wife makes fun of me because she thinks it's silly but I still rock it. With cell phones ranging upwards of $1500, I really didn't want to lose or drop it, especially on a boat. When the kids insist on using my phone to take a picture, it also helps to have it secured around their neck. The leash is well designed and very comfortable. Long enough that I can wear it in front, side or under a jacket. When I first got the item, I was disappointed at the anchor wires because they were too thick to work with my phone case. After researching a bit, I found that these are version 4's. It looks like the previous versions after wear and tear had a tendency to break depending on where it was being anchored to. Some metal anchor points on cameras could be unfinished and sharp which after some time of rubbing, they would fail. I emailed their support and found that the pervious V3 versions were thinner so I purchased a set from them and they work wonderfully. It does not bulge when I put my phone in the case and feels secure. Keep in mind that I'm using a silicon/rubber case. I couldn't be happier and this would be my go to for traveling in the future. I also bought an additional phone case. For my day to day, I would use the case without the anchors and when needed, I'd just switch the case. That was much easier than to take the anchors out every time. I didn't like the anchors dangling if I wasn't using the leash. There are other brands of lanyards and leashes, but I felt the most secure with this one. The beauty of it is that I can just about use it on anything now that I have plenty of anchors. ... show more

  • Love it, but small deteail
Style: Premium
I attached the strap to a Sony A7RIII. I had a HARD time inserting the strings into the sony eyelet. Impossible to do by hand. I had to tie it to a nylon string and the pull very hard so it can go trough. Once its in, no problems at all. The strap is well made.

  • The best camera strap I've ever used. Pricey, but worth it.
Style: Premium
What I like most about this camera strap (or in Peak Design's lingo, a "leash") is how long it is. 57" long fully extended, with a minimum length of 32". I use this leash with a Canon G7X-II, which is a small, light, point & shoot camera. This leash is strong enough to hold 200+, so the chance of it breaking and dropping my camera is nil. Peak also markets a heavier duty strap for dSLR's (and presumably small automobiles!). The leash includes 4 anchors that attach to the camera, 2 are needed, 2 are spare. The anchors are equipped with tough, thin cord loops that thread through the camera's strap mounts. The anchors in turn clip into the ends of the leash. The beauty of this system is that the leash can be removed from the camera quickly and easily when desired. The clip mechanism appears tough and secure, inadvertent release seems unlikely. The leash can be used to secure the camera in a sling arrangement, or as a shoulder or neck strap. The leash material is comfortable in all of these positions. The leash length mechanism is about the slickest adjustment technique that I've ever seen and can be used while being worn, even when you are walking. If it seems that I'm very impressed with this leash, it is because I am. However, there are two issues with this leash: 1. The leash is also supplied with an anchor mount that screws into the camera's tripod socket. Attaching this anchor to the bottom of the camera makes it impossible to mount the camera on a tripod. However, I couldn't find a configuration where this bottom anchor was stable for my compact camera, so this becomes a non-issue as I'll never use it. However, this device may be very useful for very heavy cameras like dSLR's. 2. The leash is a bit on the pricey side...but you get what you pay for. Would I buy this leash again? Yes, definitely. ... show more
