  • I love it!
Platform For Display: Xbox One
I have been wanting one of these for a while, I finally bought one and so far it's great! I was a little worried because it seems to have mixed reviews, but I have no complaints. All the buttons are very responsive, easy to press, and have a full range of motion. Note that it is a wired only controller and will not work unless plugged in, unlike the Xbox standard controllers. There are 4 LEDs affixed to the control board and they're very bright and give off very vibrant color. You can also very easily customize the color though the PDP app. You select a color on a color wheel. You can also adjust the lighting intensity if it's too bright for you or you can shut it off completely. I attached photos of just a few colors to show vibrance. Note that it is bright in my room so they don't look as vibrant as they actually are. I have been using my standard Microsoft xbox one controller for a few years and transitioning to this one was no problem. They look almost identical to each other, with the only obvious difference being the Xbox home button. On this controller, the home button is rounded and not illuminated. Other than this, they are the same size and all the buttons are in the same place. The PDP app is also right in the Xbox store and is very easy to use. Through the app you can remap the buttons, update the firmware, run diagnostics tests, etc. It's very useful. I will update if anything goes wrong with this controller, but so far I LOVE this controller and am glad I bought it! ... show more

  • It's perfect
Platform For Display: Xbox One
I purchased the controller on the right about a year ago, for myself, and the one on the left last week for my tiny human. They are perfect. I have my laptop mounted on my wall with an 8k HDMI running to my mounted Roku. I put a 15 foot extension on these controllers and mounted them next to my bed. They look great, my tiny human thinks they're "totally awesome" and looks forward to gaming time. I've used every type of controller since the dawn of gaming time but I dig this one the most. It's also great for my little's hands. It's comfortable so he's learning to make quicker, definite decisions, better hand-eye coordination and response and he's constantly reading. We'll see how well the buttons set to page turning hold up but I honestly have zero doubts because I get pretty controller intense when playing MMO's and my controller is still like new and the port location is the only way I can tell the controllers apart when my little messes with the colors. Two great purchases from this seller!! ... show more

  • Works Well, Buttons Press Smoothly
Platform For Display: Xbox One
The controller works well, and the buttons press smoothly. Sensitivity is good too. I have not had this controller for a long time, so I do not know about durability/heavy usage. I use it to play PC games once in awhile (maybe once a week, or once every two weeks). The controller itself is transparent. It is a bit more slippery than the Microsoft Xbox controllers, but I do not mind it. Perhaps if someones hands sweat a lot, it might be more of an issue. I like that the cord is long enough for me to sit back on a couch if I have my PC hooked up to the TV. The cord is also sturdy. It is thicker than the cord for that comes with the Microsoft controllers and it doesn't get as many kinks in it when I wrap it up around the controller. In the picture, the controller I received from Amazon is the one on the left. The LED lights inside are a little underwhelming. They literally are 4 lights in a row across the middle. I set it to a blueish green color, and it still looks pretty. The controller on the right is a prismatic afterglow controller, also by PDP, that I bought at a Sam's club a few months ago. This controller has a much cooler lighting scheme-- it is a right of light that goes around the perimeter of the controller. Another difference is the side of the controller that faces the user (the edge right below the directional pad and the right joystick). The one I got at Sam's club is black on that edge, while the one I got on Amazon is transparent and slightly less rounded. This shouldn't hinder too much on usage, since my hands do not usually touch that side anyway. The only difference I could find between the packaging on the controllers was that the one on Amazon was copyrighted in 2018, and the one from Sam's club was copyrighted in 2016. Maybe these differences were just a changes made to a newer version. The only reason I am giving this a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars is because of expectations of appearance. Overall, still a good controller. ... show more

  • Great RGB Controller for PC
Platform For Display: Xbox One
I love PDP's Afterglow controllers. Their controllers are not only great quality, but they're also beautiful with their transparent casing and RGB lighting. This Xbox One controller of theirs is no exception to their reputation. I don't have an Xbox, but I do play PC games. It works great with PC games with controller support, and is supported by Steam Input, plug and play. I can confirm that it works on both Windows and Ubuntu Linux. I also tried it with Google Stadia, which worked as well. The only downside is that this is wired. It has no battery, and you have to connect it via the included USB cord. As long as s you understand this, it's no problem. You don't have to bother with pairing it via Bluetooth or anything. Another great feature is you can program it using the PDP app on Xbox One and Windows 10. With it, you can remap buttons, set sensitivity, configure the built-in 3.5mm audio jack, and change the RGB lighting. You can change the LEDs to any color and have a few effects to choose from, including a breathing animation. Then once you configure it, settings save within the controller itself, so you can bring your settings on a non-Windows 10 device. Overall, it's a great controller, and once you see the customization of it and see the vibrators spin through the transparent frame, I think you'll agree. Recommend for any Xbox One and PC gamer who is as addicted to RGB lighting as I am. ... show more
