I have subscribed to this magazine for over a decade. The magazine has gone through many changes as the PC gaming market has changed, but still provides a great pulse on things that are upcoming and newly released games. They devote quite of bit of space to mods now as well - it is always neat to see what content has been released for old favorite. A little disappointed that so much of it seems to be re-hashed from the UK version. Honestly I usually read off the website and only use the subscription to $upport the magazine.

    • Amazon scared me
I’ll start with the reason that I’m rating this 3 stars—Amazon does not like to let you know much that your trial in ending, and prefers to alert you that you’re about to pay for another month by just putting a pending charge on your bank account with the vague label of “NEWSSTAND”. That gave me a bit of a scare, at least until i figured out where the mystery charge was coming from. Of course, if you plan on paying for a few months anyway, you can ignore this. The magazine, for what its worth, is pretty good. They cover games that are fairly mainstream but provide some interesting insights and announcements for outsiders like me (I mainly play metroidvanias and indie titles). As well, I really like the pc build guides and motherboard showcases and the like. Furthermore, the layout is appealing and easy to shift around with your eyes. Generally, I think its a good buy. Just don’t get a trial and forget about it like me. ... show more

Most of the content is short, sweet, and to the point. They cover many pc games, highlight the important details, and usually have a short article to talk about it.

    • Ok, but i miss the old physical copies that would include demos.
I just dont think magazines are worth the cost anymore. It seems most reviewers rush through the games and still try to give the most positive reviews possible with the least amount of effort. Also miss the old demo disks, even though i realize you can just download everything now, it still gave the feeling of worth the cost you really don't get anymore. ... show more
