So far, so good with this pump. One thing I've noticed after using portable aerators for many years is that the internal components will sometimes rust out after a while if using in saltwater. So far I haven't had issues with this one, but only time will tell.

The livewell pump on my boat stopped working. I bought this little pump as a back up until I get the boat pump fixed. I've gone out twice and this little guy does the job (I used it with a 5 gallon bucket and live shrimp).

If you fish with live bait this aerator is an excellent addition to your kit. Clip or tape onto the side of your bucket switch it on. Takes two D-Cell batteries which are quite uncommon nowadays. I would have liked to see a USB-C rechargeable lithium battery but they sell rechargeable D-Cells so that's not a huge issue.     • Nice aerator for your minnow bucket, but no internal battery
If you travel with live minnows to go fishing, you understand the importance of having an aerator. This unit does a great job of outputting bubbles into the water and keeping my minnows alive with a high enough concentration of oxygen in the water. The unit runs on two C-cell batteries. I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery, but that is my fault for not reading the description first.
