I was looking for something to replace an old wooden platform that covered my crawlspace access point and this shed was perfect! I was able to assemble 95% of this by myself, but it would go faster with 2 people. Despite a few flaws from shipping, it looks very sleek! PROS: Very sturdy once assembled! Not too heavy to where it’s difficult to move from one location to another. Very spacious for a small shed. The instructions were just diagrams, but fairly easy to follow. CONS: The holes did not line up on the base, so you will need to drill holes in order to anchor it to concrete or a wooden platform. Step 21 shows that you are to use F1 screws to attach the handle. This is incorrect and you will need to use the F2 bolts/nuts. Prepare to spend a lot of time removing the shrink wrap and expect to still find scratches and dents from being in transit. ... show more

Let's start with some of the other reviews. Those that complain about the "sturdiness" of it and how you can't lean against it...it's an ALUMINUM shed, not a wood framed tuff shed. It's as sturdy as a metal shed is going to be. Next, the plastic on the panels. Oh...my...dear...God. Let me tell you that people aren't lying about this taking FOREVER to peel off. I had three people peeling an entire Saturday as I assembled and they couldn't feed me panels fast enough. I feel sorry for someone that does that part without help. Invite some friends to help (they won't be friends when they're done tho so maybe not close friends). The screws, oh the screws. There's A LOT! Enough said. Bent panels. Now, I have mixed feelings here. Were there some bent panels. Yes. Was this the manufacturers fault, no. Did the shipping boxes have an excess of damage, no (a little worn, but nothing that would indicate that anything would have been wrong). All I can think of here is that as the boxes were handled, probably multiple times, they were probably dropped and leveraged against shelving and such to cause the bending I encountered. That being said, most of the bent spots were easily bent back in to shape by hand with only a few noticeable panels once assembled that didn't line up exactly right. There was however one panel for the door that was unusable. See the end of the review about this. Did I mention the plastic that needs peeled? Finally, the screw holes misaligned. Did every single hole line up perfect, of course not. Did some, yes. Did others, not quite. That being said, it's thin aluminum and with just the smallest bit of "stretching" all misaligned holes found their home and the screws went right in. Directions. Not as bad as made out to be. Just take your time, grab the right panel numbers, you'll make it...EVENTUALLY. Customer service. Here's where the unusable panel comes in. Each door is made with two panels. One of mine had a crease in the metal from the top all the way to the bottom and it was right across the holes for the door latch catch. I still assembled it but the doors did not line up to close and latch at all. I contacted customer service via email and within hours got a response after reporting the issue. I was asked for some pictures, which I provided, and there were no other questions asked. In less that 24 hours a replacement was sent which I received in 3 days. Customer service contacted me throughout, letting me know the status as it made it's way to me and the replacement arrived in perfect condition. Gotta give 5 stars to their customer service dept, couldn't have been easier. Overall, it's exactly what I ordered it for, a storage shed. Lastly, don't forget to anchor it down! After assembly, we had to slide it in to place against the garage (it went too close to build it and be able to install screws). Once my assembled, my 5'3" wife and I were able to push at the bottom of the frame and it slid with relative ease across the concrete. If not anchored down after you build it, it won't stay put with a breezy storm. The only reason for the four stars was the bent door panel that was replaced but had to sit open while waiting for it. Would recommend as an inexpensive shed for backyard storage. ... show more

This is right for its price. You will need to build a platform for stability and just the top center trim was difficult to do. Almost everything lined up, but we didn’t tighten until the end for wiggle room to push and pull. Holds together tightly. Took more of 4+ hours with 2 people. A few dents and dings on just a few panels but nothing to interrupt function. Again, right for price. The metal is thin which is why we highly recommend the platform for stability. But this is perfect for what we need it for. We are satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

Patiowell 10 X 12 FT Barn Style Metal Storage Shed. I purchased the Patiowell 8 x 12 FT Plastic Outdoor Storage Shed with floor which was delivered on September 16, 2024 and I was reasonably happy with this purchase, and since I needed another shed that is bit bigger so I bought Patiowell 10 X 12 FT Barn Style Metal Storage Shed as there were no plastic models larger than 8 x 12 ft. from Patiowell. Patiowell 10 X 12 FT Barn Style Metal Storage Shed was a MAJOR disappointment. The shed is VERY FLIMSY and had lots of rough edges and it DOES NOT have a floor ( I should have noticed the disclaimer that the shed “DOES NOT include a base”), but I expected some “finished” perimeter base so the shed can be securely placed on a pavement. Assembling the metal shed was a very tedious task... There were rows of metal strip which had to be fastened with rows and rows ( which ran the entire length of the roof line) of metal screws with protruding sharp ends...each of the protruding sharp ends of the screws had to covered with plastic screw covers. Patiowell could have used nuts and bolts fasteners ( which were used on diagonal pieces ) instead of of the screws with protruding sharp ends which had to be covered with plastic caps to prevent accidental injuries. Very poor design and workmanship. The locking mechanism is incredibly flimsy...made with thin sheet metal. The sheet metal used can be easily be bent out of shape with fingers! Furthermore, the lock piece is attached to the door frame with outside facing screws...imagine how easy it is to remove the lock mechanism plate with a screw driver from the outside! The entire locking mechanism can be easily ripped out of the door/frame. “This storage shed not only provides secure storage space”...The description quoted above is hardly accurate. Another note: The Patiowell Customer Service is non-existent. They DID NOT respond to multiple phone calls or emails with inquiries on shipment status/packing details. I have to commend Amazon Customer Service for contacting Patiowell on my behalf to ascertain shipping and package details from the company. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the lack of responsiveness on the part of Patiowell, and I am so glad I purchased the shed through Amazon which provided me with timely and effective service. ... show more
