  • Plain
Color: Chiselled Silver with Gold Trim
No certificate, no warranty paper. Just the pen and the refill.

  • Leaking pen
Color: Stainless Steel and Gold
This pen looks nice indeed for the price. The problem with the one I got is, it did NOT write and, instead, it was leaking ink. Lots of it.

Beautiful design to look at and hold. Writing with it is a pleasure. Weather a personal note or creating a literary work of art, the experience of using this pen is a satisfaction in and of itself.

  • Nice writing pen but not really worth the price tag when compared to other similarly-priced options
Color: Matte Black and Chrome
The Parker Sonnet rollerball pen is nice, writes well, but doesn't match the quality of similarly-priced Cross Townsend. I love pens. I have a couple dozen nice pens ranging from rollerballs to fountain pens, and my daily carry, my Cross Townsend rollerball pen is showing its age, so I thought it was time to replace it. This Parker Sonnet looked really nice and I've never owned a Parker pen, so I thought it was a great opportunity to try it. The Parker Sonnet is noticeably lighter than the Cross Townsend. It's made well, but the build quality has a noticeably cheaper feel to it than the Cross. It feels like a $40 or $50 pen, not like a $120 MSRP pen or even a $90 pen when on sale. The Sonnet is shorter in length than the Townsend, which is good if you keep the pen in your shirt pocket. Many of my shirts have small pockets that the Townsend simply won't fit in well. This Sonnet fits well in all my shirt pockets and because it's lighter, it doesn't pull the shirt down much. Both pens write well, but I've noticed the Parker Sonnet dries out easily and after a couple days of not writing with it (but keeping the cap on) it is scratchy for the first few lines before returning to it's full rich, black ink. Overall, I like the Parker Sonnet, but I don't think it's worth $120 or even $90. I might buy it if it were on sale for $50. If you are looking for a lighter-weight pen, maybe you will like it more than I did. If you want a gorgeous, elegant, heavy pen then check out the Cross Townsend linked above. It's still my favorite and is still my go-to pen for daily writing. ... show more

  • Classic Elegance,in a roller ball writing instrument,.....very Nice
Color: Matte Black and Chrome
This is a Matte Black pen with bright "Palladium" accents,(Note:Palladium does not tarnish)...The Pen has a substantive weight and feel that says this is a pen that will stand up to time, a pen of value and class. No one will mistake this as a cheap giveaway or marketing piece. You will avoid loaning this one out and look for it when misplaced. I am a bit of a pen aficionado, and own Waterman's and Mont Blanc's alike, this pen doesn't take second place to either. Though an additional plus when replacing refills, a pair of Mont Blanc rollerball refills will set you back $16+ for two and Parker Rollerballs $6.50 for two. I find no appreciable difference between the fine point rollerball writing instruments except cost. I am inclined to mention the box, as it is one of the nicest I have come across, a gray tight weave cloth with a magnetic latching lid, the interior is no less elegant displaying and cradling the pen as a fine instrument deserving of a suitable first class presentation. This pen and presentation box would be a great gift in recognition of a colleague, close friend, one's boss, or as an honorarium....it conveys you went the bit extra in considering this gift for them. I have shared extra pictures, hopefully you have found this helpful as you consider one for yourself or as a gift. ... show more

  • 3 out of 5 stars because of the grip
Color: Black Lacquer with Palladium Trim
Update - 06/11/2017. The new Parker refill ruins this pen for me. The ink skips too much. I've actually stopped using the pen as my everyday pen and gone back to the Waterman and Mont Blanc. The shipping and delivery of this was great. I have no complaints with either. This is my first Parker, Mont Blanc and Waterman are usually my preference and I've been quite happy with those. I really just wanted to try this to see if I'd like the grip and the weight of the pen and comparatively to MB, it's a whole lot cheaper. One thing I didn't expect with this is that it's skinny and 'straight'. I like a bigger pen because if/when I'm writing it's usually not for a short sentence or a scribble or two so I need something that I can hold on to. The grip doesn't feel that much different that the barrel of the pen. It's very smooth and if my hands are not perfectly dry and without lotion then I found that my fingers slip and makes my penmanship sloppy. I received the pen on 04/26 and it does come with ink, fine point, and for the first few days the ink flowed smoothly. The ink has since started skipping which I'm not pleased about but I've ordered a refill in blue ink, medium point as a replacement. For the price of this pen, I expected something with a little bit more size and weight. The good thing is - it's a pretty pen, just not one I would recommend for that price. ... show more
