I cannot drill any holes, so I picked adhesive solution. After 5 days it looks firmly stick. What will happen after I tear it off I don't know, I hope nothing. The item (not the base) is a bit wobbly

The adhesion works well against the side of my cabinet. Its sturdy enough- malleable enough for me to bend it a little to hold my costco sized paper towels. I have this facing up so the paper towels are standing up. Works well for what i wanted, an easy way to take advantage of the limited space I have in my kitchen. This worked great until it didn't. It installed easily, looks good, and worked fine....for 2 1/2 years. Then one day the very small weld between the rod that holds paper towels and the piece that connects the rod to the part that attaches to your cabinet snapped during normal use. It took a while to realize what happened because the weld was so small it was not visible. I was looking for a screw that may have fallen out or something to repair the holder. In the end, it appears the two pieces are not held together very well at all. Once the tiny weld breaks, it is done. While 2 1/2 years is pretty impressive for such a small weld and daily use, it doesn't compare to the paper towel holders our parents and grandparents had that lasted until the kitchen got renovated. I assume it is cheap Chinese junk, and would gladly buy a made in USA unit, however, I did not see any on Amazon, and my wife is tired of the paper towels sitting on the counter top. So I will give this one another try. Hopefully this one lasts more than a few years. ... show more
