Frankly when it works its great. Every time my computer does an update for the camera (which seems to be every other month) it disables the camera. Then I have to call support while they spend 2 hours (not exaggerating here, literally 2 hours) for them to figure out what's wrong and fix it. Another driver update just went through, guess what, now my computer can't see the stupid camera again. This is so frustrating.     • LEDs turn on when cam is ACTIVE now. (Unbranded base edition)
I'm not able to really comment on the image quality. It looks fine to me. I will say that my webcam doesn't have "papalook" on the base, (The base is also black instead of gray). Most importantly, the blue led lights now turn on when the camera is ACTIVE not just plugged in. Both of these things are improvements (especially making the LED lights for webcam ACTIVITY) ... show more

    • Works Well
The webcam works very well, provides great picture quality and is ready to use out of the box. My only issue is I wish there was a way to more securely attach it to my monitor. It attaches quite easily and can be easily adjusted, but there's been times when I've slightly jostled the monitor and the camera will fall - not ideal when you're in the middle of a video conference. This worked just great the first time I used it and that was it. I hadn't had a working camera for a while and it took me some time to set this up and running and it is now too late to return. It worked great the first I used it and that was, I got one use out of the camera. Don't waste your money.

The video does not record at the same rate as audio. There's a lag/too slow on the frames. It's okay on video calls, but horrible if you're looking for a professional quality video for business. The cost was low - so I guess you get what you pay for.

Don't buy this camera. When it did work, it didn't produce clear video. It quit working after 4 months.

    • This product does not support Mac software
I bought this camera because I wanted a narrow viewing angle and software control. It is a widescreen camera that comes with windows software only, Mac is not supported. I'm returning it therefore.
