  • Works well
Style: For Android Only
I use this more than I expected and it always does great. I really like that when I'm checking codes I can go online in the app to check for repairs suggestions.

  • Great Device
Style: For Android Only
I ordered this after Advanced Auto Parts and O'Riellys scanners couldn't read a cold on my 09 Prius. It was able to pull the error code. It wasn't able to read a subcode, but still did better than parts store. Well worth the money.

  • This works with my Chevrolet Volt and all it's extra reporting fields
Style: For Android Only
This did the job at a good price, and works with my "Voltage" app for Chevrolet Volts. It reports all the EV fields along with the standard OBD-II codes you would expect. That said, word of warning -- when you connect it via BlueTooth, it WILL connect, but it WON'T show as a connected device in your Android phone's list of connected BlueTooth devices. It's there, it just doesn't show. Go to your app and click on Read and it will find it. ... show more

  • Very easy to use. Android only version.
Style: For Android Only
Before you buy. This scanner is for ANDROID phones and tablets ONLY! It WILL NOT work with Apple. If you are an apple user, there is an option above, for a unit, that works with both Apple and Android. This o.b.d. 2 scanner, in my opinion, is very easy to use. Just find the obd port in your car, (It's most likely under the driver side dash, by the steering column) plug it in, pair it to your favorite obd app and you are on your way. I highly recommend the Torque app. (BTW, you don't have to, but spend the 4 extra dollars, and upgrade to the ad-free version. It's worth it.) user tip 1 - make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices, connected to your phone/tablet. The scanner will connect a lot faster 2- depending on the make/ model of your car, if you intend on letting your car sit for an extended period of time, remove the unit. It may drain the cars battery. Now don't panic. Im talking weeks/months, without starting the car up. 3 - DO NOT force the unit into the obd port. You may damage the pins. It should go in fairly easily. If not, Check the port and make sure there isn't anything obstructing the pin holes. 4 - Wait at least 15 seconds after turning the key to accessory position, to allow all the car's systems to start up, before you start scanning. 5 - turn your car key to accessory, but do not start the engine. 6 - If you have a keyless ignition, follow your vehicle's instruction on how to turn on your car's electronics, without actually starting the car's engine. And Finally, just clearing the codes will not make your car's problems go away magically. You have to fix whatever is triggered the fault code in the first place. Otherwise, the fault code will reappear after a bit, and you risk further damage to your car. Those codes and that engine light, are there to protect your car's systems, and engine, from being damaged. ... show more

  • Worked for my 2012 Prius
Style: For iOS & Android
I used it with a 2012 Prius V Two and the Dr Prius app. It worked great. I used it to disable that annoying backup beep when you are in reverse. I also wanted to check out the battery health.

  • Great for endless pop-ups. Waste of time.
Style: For iOS & Android
I wanted an inexpensive Bluetooth scanner to turn off a troublesome evap code. I have a real scanner but I hate taking it everywhere with me. I also use iOS and wanted something compatible. I don’t know how this thing gets those decent reviews- because it’s a real piece of junk. The install procedure did not follow the provided instructions at all. And every time it proceeded to the next screen, an ad popped up. This is beyond annoying. Being that it’s Bluetooth, and so is my stereo- the stupid ad soundtrack took over my stereo every time. And the ads are designed to look like part of the scanner program. You have to wait until the ad plays out, then hit the X to disable the ad, and repeat this procedure every time you change the page. This thing may be a scan tool, but to me it seems like a pop-up generator. Like I said earlier, I wanted a cheap scanner to turn off a persistent evap code. I should have known I was in for a ride when one of the first screens had 3 levels of service upsells. You have to search to find the free install. And every time you try and view a sensor or get a reading - It takes you back to the purchase screen. I think the only thing this can do without an upsell is provide endlessly annoying pop-ups. Well, after my initial impression, there’s no way I would spend a dime for a program from this company. It’s going back. Save your money and get a decent unit. ... show more

  • Maybe I'm just not getting it.
Style: For Android Only
First and foremost, it is important to note that the application required to utilize the ODB incurs a cost of $5. While the device does establish a Bluetooth connection, the screen exhibits persistent flickering during usage of the designated application. Although it functions to some extent, alternative applications have been tested, but none have demonstrated complete functionality. Further investigation and experimentation will be conducted to ascertain a suitable solution. ... show more
