My daughters loved this. They are four and six for reference. While both liked the end toy, the six year old was more into the “baking process.” They really enjoy the toy and its smell is nice but not overdone. Pros: super easy to complete and still enchant the kids. Cons: could be louder, the little pancake is often too soft to understand. Going to change batteries and see if that helps. My son has been asking for any of the Cookies toys. Being it's a toy mainly directed to girls; I thought it would be good for Valentines day. He wasn't a big fan of the pancake batter (slime). It has frying noises and the animal you get makes a fun noise when it surprises you. You can reuse it more than once; which he loves. Got a great limited deal on it as well (less than $9 with tax). Lots of adult supervision needed for the toy to get started. But it was fun for the whole family. Do not need to install batteries yourself.     • Sounds didn’t work
This is our second cookeez makery toy and while the oven one worked wonderfully, this one didn’t make any sounds at all. Daughter was a little disappointed in it and I guess I’ll have to change the batteries to see if it will work. Seems like these have been sitting on the shelf for a long time for the batteries to not work.
