Overall good quality. Sturdy and easy to assemble. The plastic piece that joins the two backing boards together was the wrong color (white instead of black), and it is pretty obvious.

Not bad for a low-cost bookshelf. It looks good, but the material doesn't feel as sturdy as solid wood. That said, we have had it loaded with multiple rows of books and have no problems.

The fit and finish of this bookcase is really nice for the price. Assembly was a breeze. My only complaint is the cheap back assembly - but that's the norm for furniture like this. In this case though - there is a piece that runs down he middle of the backboard that is visible from the front. If you plan to stuff it full of stuff - it won't be that noticeable but if you are using it for a more open display, you will see it easily. I may make an insert to hide it. ... show more

These shelves are easy to assemble. The instructions are easy to read, and there are even extra screws and fasteners if you lose one. I ordered two shelves, put the first together, then went to the second. It didn't look quite right when I installed the front foot/base piece on the second shelf. I returned to the instructions; It was the correct piece and in the correct location. As you'll see in the images, the piece was drilled incorrectly at manufacturing, so the only way of attachment is in an upside-down position. The shelves are great quality, and if I only had one, I would have given this shelf five stars, but since I have two, they won't match. ... show more
