It’s cute and will please a Mario fan, but it came just wrapped in bubble wrap- No box. It says it’s USB operational, but it’s AAA. It’s also pretty small, for the price I guess we assumed something a little more substantial. This was purchased for a gift, so getting what was described & shown would have been nice. ... show more

I would love to write a review for the 33 cm Piranha Plant lamp, but seeing as I keep recieving the smaller version instead, I guess I'll review it instead. The smaller model comes with all the joy of an oversized box and a completely unprotected product, that's covered in scuffs that look like they were there before the item even made its way into its oversized box for shipping. One of the plastic leaves had even already broken off and while it fit back on, the connection is anything but secure. The light itself works fine and according to the box runs on AAA batteries. For the price, it's absolute robbery, this item is $15 at most if I'm bring generous, but this quality might be excusable at $8.99. If you are interested in getting the lamp shown in the product pictures, then I recommend buying from Nintendo.com directly and paying for shipping, rather than taking the gamble that an overworked and underpaid warehouse worker is going to grab the correct lamp, cause I have tried twice now, and both times received this janky garbage. ... show more

My son is a huge Mario fan. This was great addition to his room. If he ever outgrows it, I'm stealing it. It casts a fun shadow if positioned just right and he loves that it's flexible.
