Update: I had not had the chance to test the stain treated/resistant claim at the time of my initial review, but since then I've spilled a glass of iced tea on it and I'm so pleased to be able to say this rug is definitely stain resistant. The tea didn't even soak into the rug. It kind of reminds me of how the rain beads on a Rain X car windshield. I blotted the area of spill with a paper towel and there was zero evidence of any tea. I'm amazed. After a few weeks of foot traffic and spilling tea on it, it still looks as good as it does the day I got it. And its still super soft. I had to come back and update my review Because of how impressed I am. Note: The lighting in my room was not great when I took the photo. The rug is not dirty or stained , but the lighting left a shadow. At first I thought it was a heavy blanket that I'd forgotten I ordered because I'd never seen an area rug folded up like a blanket before. But that is how this rug came , completely folded up like you would see a comforter or a thick blanket. So it does have creases in it, which within time will work themselves out. The rug is a bit thinner than I would have liked, but it supposed to be because it's low pile. If you're going to be using it near the entrance of a door , the low pile makes this possible . Plus it's machine washable and I wouldn't want a thicker heavier area rug in my good washing machine, so it's fine for my intended use, which is in our master bedroom on my side. Controlled and restricted traffic, if you know what I mean, Mom's. I've got a few feet of Mom Only Dedicated space in my home and it just happens to be from my side of the bed (King size, that is) to the dresser. Hence the reason I'm not worried about a light/white colored rug. But should my hubby and his nasty work shoes, or my klutzy 9 year old, meander their way over to Moms space and dirty up my rug, I won't go all "Psycho Mom" because I can just throw this baby in the washing machine, gentle cycle, dryer on low heat or air dry on my deck, and put it back down as good as new. Doesn't get any better than that for this OCD neat freak mom. I should mention that the description said it's stain resistant/treated. The rug is incredibly soft and feels so good under my achy bare feet. My house is porcelain tile throughout and there is nothing worse than crawling into bed with dirt on the bottom of the feet, which is inevitable no matter how clean you are when you have Tile flooring , so this soft Cotton and Polyester rug is a must have for me and my feet (and my bed). Thankfully and surprisingly, this rug doesn't have that scratchy itchy wool feel to it. That may be because it is NOT wool. I believe they called it Faux wool . Nonetheless, it is very soft for being polyester. Because of the lighter colors, it's probably best suited for low traffic areas. Although, Like I mentioned earlier , it is machine washable and claims to be stain resistant. I ordered the 5x7 size and unfortunately "Mom's Dedicated Space" isn't quite 5x7, so I've got part of the rug under the bed. Even more sturdy that way , although it's got a pretty good no skid backing on it. So even if you think 5x7 is too big , you can always put the bed over part of the rug, or if using in the LR, furniture like a chair or couch can umbrella part of the rug. I may provide an update after I've had more time for the rug to dirty , and can wash it to test the stain resistant claim. Update: So I dropped my cup of iced tea on the rug and WOW!!! It's definitely stain resistant. You know how the rain just disappears off your car windshield after treating it with something like Rain X? Well that's kind of what happened when I spilled my tea , it just rolled right off. I blotted it up with a rag and it came right out. Yay!! ... show more

The rug is soft and fuzzy, making it really comfortable. I love that it's machine washable, which makes it super convenient for keeping it clean. Additionally, the slip-resistant back provides extra safety and prevents any accidental slips. The picture I took right after opening shows some creases, but I'm confident that they will flatten out over time. There is a slight chemical smell coming from the rug, but I'm hopeful that it will disappear soon. ... show more

I really wanted to give this beautiful rug 5 stars, but the uneven edges prevented me. The sewing is uneven and and edges look warped. Other than that little detail, we love it. It feels so good on bare feet. It is also thin enough to wash in a standard front load washer.

I love that this is so super amazingly soft it's really like one of those fuzzy blankets my dogs are in love it's almost a bad thing that they love it sooo much!! I have to keep on them about eating treats on it they think it's just a giant bed so they run to it every time!! It's not the best at keeping exactly pristine clean because of the fuzzys but I suppose because of how thin it is and due to it not having a rubber backing you are able to toss it in the wash if it were to get super super dirty... Like how it will if people refuse to listen to me about there dang shoes in my house!! But as for now it's been easy to spot clean with a wash rag and just water or hydrogen peroxide just as if I were cleaning a blanket!! The size is absolutely perfect for the living room and I have a small home and smaller living room so I thought that the smaller sizes would have cut it in the past but I was wrong this is the best size for me and the colors are great I am so found of blues and this has such a wonderful Suttle design that doesn't draw all the attention to the floor as a lot of the newer Rugs do! I do recommend getting a mat for underneath it because of it being so thin it has a tendency to bunch up and move around a lot! Other then that zero complaints!!! ... show more

Great size! Nice muted colors that fit with most anything. One of the softest rugs that I own. It is very thin, but that allows it to clean up very easy!
