  • Expensive and Doesn't Perform As Expected.
I have used a clip on style capo which worked well but because they have a relatively high profile, it was somewhat bothersome when fretting chords in the first position with the capo set on the third fret. So I ordered this clamp as it appeared to have a low profile and it received many positive reviews. After using this for about a month, I have discontinued it and went back to the clip on unit that I had, which turned out to be far better. This unit doesn't mute the D or G string well as the arm that goes across the strings flexes in the middle. It also is a hassle to remove it easily despite the release button, etc and I did not like sliding it back past the nut as some recommend. It certainly didn't meet my expectation for a capo of almost $30. As a result, I would not recommend this product to those interested in a good quality capo. ... show more

  • Well, I should have paid attention to the negative reviews.
Well, I should have paid attention to the negative reviews. I already have two 'Paige' capos for my steel string guitars and I love them. But this one, designed for a classical style guitar, is quite a different design, and it just doesn't work well. It feels cheaply made, the action of the adjustment screw is rough and unpleasant, the 'bar' across the top is too easily knocked loose, and I could not get it adjusted in such as way as to provide good tone and no buzzing. So, thank you Amazon, one of the main reasons I love to shop here is that you have a very fair refund policy. This item was returned. ... show more

  • Equal pressure from e string to e string.
Problem with most capos these days is that they put more pressure on one side of the fretboard than the other. This design is great because it applies pressure evenly from e string to e string. Plus, the point of contact with strings is narrow so that it doesn't overly mute the strings. The compromise is that quick change is not as easy; it takes a couple of turns to loosen and slide it over the nut. I don't mind it. ... show more

I love the very thin and narrow fret bar and also the fine pressure control of the nut which can be adjusted during engagement unlike the Shubb which must be unclipped for adjustment.

  • Good Quality
It takes too many hands to adjust it, otherwise it's great.
