  • Vast improvement over the older models for GM LAN radios.
Size: 8.60in. x 8.50in. x 2.10in.
Only hiccup was the absence of instructions, but the box contained a flyer containing instructions on how to get the instructions. Set DIP switches to match the radio I intended to install, wired the harness to my new radio harness, and tested. To my pleasant surprise, everything worked exactly as it should. Steering wheel controls worked perfectly. This interface cut my install time drastically. Very happy with the product, and the price on this platform was much less than the local shop. ... show more

Totally worth the money. My son bought a really expensive version and it was nothing but trouble. The PAC RP5-GM31 was install in minutes and works perfectly. Money well spent

  • Works perfectly in 2011 Avalanche for 3 months. Fast warranty return
Size: 8.60in. x 8.50in. x 2.10in.
Made installation easy. Everything is labeled, instructions are clear. I called PAC to make sure it had the latest firmware upgrade and tech support was fast and friendly. I added a SiriusXM tuner and ran it directly through the JVC kw-av71bt head unit instead of using factory tuner, so I can't comment on the XM displaying in the driver info center. Thus the rear seat audio only plays what is being played up front. The chime box turn signals are still a little cheesy and quiet. The chimes are clear and loud. When you solder the wires, add a length of wire to the parking brake lead and ground it for a parking brake bypass. This is a big bundle of wires to stuff under the dash, but that makes it easier to connect. I can revert to stock in about 30 minutes. September 21, 2013. Stopped working. Weird buzzing noise from the blue box. Gonna try for some warranty help! October 28, 2013. Received replacement blue box from 3 Kings Audio. Both PAC and 3 Kings responded quickly (I was slow in contacting/sending part). New blue box is latest firmware upgrade. Will install tomorrow. November 2. Up and running. The replacement was simple. Thanks to 3 Kings for letting me send back just the blue box. Plug and play, back in business. Fingers crossed that this one works for a looooooong time! 4/2/18: Still works great! ... show more

  • 08 sierra denali
Size: 8.60in. x 8.50in. x 2.10in.
Did everything I wanted it to do better than the axxcess harness. To be specific, the reverse output didn't work on the axxcess but did work on this unit. Aftermarket reverse cam so didn't get to use the harness for that. Also much easier to "program" than the axxcess harness. Flip a switch or 2 and you're done. ... show more

  • Steering wheel controls don't work right
Size: 8.60in. x 8.50in. x 2.10in.
When I called PAC and ask what wiring harness I would need to use with the Clarion NX702 in my 2011 GMC Sierra. I was told that the RP5-GM31 would do everything I would need to keep all of the controls working. The Steering wheel controls work as long as the truck is sitting still but as soon as I start moving the steering wheel controls stop working. Also the OnStar & Bluetooth volume will blast you out of the truck. I contacted PAC and was told that the 'firmware' would need to be updated and that I should take the RP5-GM31 to Fry's or some other shop and have the firmware updated. I ask Fry's(they are the people that installed the Clarion Nav system in my GMC)if they could update the firmware in the RP5-GM31 and turn down the volume on the OnStar. They said that they could not do it because they do not have the Pac-up interface to do a firmware update. I did an online search for the Pac Pac-up and I found that they sale for $60.00. Do you think I should be out $60 to update firmware on something that I was assured by PAC would work right out of the box? Gene UPDATE: I contacted Pacific Accessory Corporation customer service, after five e-mails back and forth I was asked to return the unit to them for an evaluation. After about a week I received a new, in the box unit, via UPS - no explanation of the problem. I returned the truck to Fry's to have the Clarion re-installed. Now everything works as it should. Would I recommend this RP5-GM31 to a friend? Yes with reservations; Made damn sure the new 'firmware' is installed in it. ... show more
