Works perfect

  • There's not a lot to say. It does what it says it does without overheating.
There isn't really a lot to say about these capacitors. They pretty much do what you would expect proper bipolar capacitors to do. The packing is a bit overkill (which I suppose could make it harder to place them in an interior,) but overall I don't think it's really an issue. The capacitors seemed to be fairly close to what they were rated to be (for the record that's ~133uF -- I forget the exact value they worked out to since capacitors tend to come in some very specific mulitples) but then I could only test what I had on hand obviously and while I didn't test to see if they could handle a full 50 watts of power for any length of time I didn't have any problems at all with them in their intended application (and admittedly lower wattage speaker system) with no major heat buildup or anything. As would be expected, they act exactly as they should in a first-order filter and lower frequencies are indeed sufficiently lowered to improve a crossover and help prevent distortion and clipping. So yeah, they work as they should. No complaints or really very serious room for improvement. ... show more

  • DUAL USE. My shed sounds crazy clean & loud.
Im so glad I bought these, definitely what my rockford fosgate P165 2 way & P135 2 way paired at 8 ohms for my shed (12' x16') sound in home made box needed. I am running my old pioneer receiver 5.1 and the clarity and volume almost exceeds my home stereo. I added a cheap old passive bazooka 10" sub and its enough to earn anyones respect and shock quite a few. I'll buy 2 more for my MTX 8" shelf speakers with around 125 hz rating so I get my lower mid bass without compromising my sound & gain volume. Simple installation instructions, get butt connectors for a clean look and recognize the potential if you have clean power, yup made me smile to a grin and it was designed for car audio...... now they can advertise for both. I lo ok k forward daily to work on something in my shed, turn it on and say "niiice job" Well worth the investment if you allot for the size of the part. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!! going to use these speakers for outdoor party, should be a real party now! ... show more

  • Works
Using it for a center channel speaker, coming out of a regular speaker output. Removes most of the bass from it.

  • This allows the speakers to play cleaner and allows me to turn the volume up higher to hear the great highs, vocals and midbass
I installed these on the front fairing speakers on my 2016 Indian Roadmaster motorcycle. They clean up the lower end bass frequencies that the stock 5-1/4 speakers were trying to produce. Lets be honest, you are not going to hear the bass from a 5-1/4 speaker at 70mph on a motorcycle. This allows the speakers to play cleaner and allows me to turn the volume up higher to hear the great highs, vocals and midbass that the system does put out. Also, removing the bass reduces the resonance that would be produced by the fairing at higher volumes. For $6 this made my stock system sound like a million bucks. Finally, be removing the bass from the 5-1/4 speakers I can play the system louder and allow the optional Indian Motorcycle Premium Concert Audio System which uses a separate amplifier and 6.5" speakers handle the bass notes and do it well. But, they were designed to do so. ... show more

  • Worked as described
Put these in for my 2021 Sienna sliding door speakers because the aftermarket 3.5" speakers had too much bass and were rattling the panel. This is the perfect frequency, blocker. Still allowed the mids without the bass rattle.

  • Works well but understand you're just buying a capacitor
These bass blockers work great for any small speakers. A bass blocker is a simple capacitor. This one happens to be 133uF which will block bass frequencies 300 Hz and below. Any bipolar 50v 133uF will work. I installed them on my 3.5 inch dash speakers and now I can crank up the volume without distortion. I recommend 300Hz or 600Hz for aftermarket 3.5 or 4 inch speakers. ... show more
