Some people even used the spin cycle of their washing machine to dry lettuce. Our easy-to-use Spinner transformed the tool into an everyday kitchen essential. Nearly 20 years later, we revisited the Spinner to make some updates while keeping the top features and original inspiration: a children’s top. With a modern design that complements contemporary kitchens and an improved brake that stops on a dime every time, we think you’ll love our new spin on the classic design. Dry salad greens with a simple press of the soft, non-slip knob. The non-slip base keeps the bowl steady on the countertop, and the updated built-in brake button stops the Salad Spinner for unloading. The basket doubles as a colander, and the lid comes apart for easy cleaning.

  • Does the job quickly and easily
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
I have seen other reviewers say the blades are dull and that it does not work, I made my wife and I two chopped salads tonight. Both had romaine, spinach, grilled chicken black olives, pepperoni, hard salami, artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, , cherry tomatoes and shredded Parmesan cheese on them. Took 60 seconds per salad to get a chopped salad ala Subway, just by watching the video, and turning the bowl after every stroke. I found it was best to do it sitting down, with the bowl in my lap. I sliced the tomatoes on a cutting board with the chopper. Put it all together and we have a nice 1 carb dinner for 2 at less then 3.00 each. Topped it with original Hidden Valley Ranch for her, and Blue Cheese dressing for me.. ADD the salads to a plate of wings and a tall, cold one and I was happy. Blades are shop, clean up easily and it is dishwasher safe as well. RECOMMENDED, ... show more

  • DONT DO IT. READ BELOW!
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
I couldn't be more disappointed. This was actually funny how bad this product is and we DID got a lot of laughs out of it but not 25.00 worth. The bowl is fine but I have plenty of bowls.. the chopper is do dull it's like running over salad with a bicycle tire.. it just smushes everything. GOD did we laugh.... I contacted OXO.. they apparently could care less.. they gave me a half as_sd explanation leading toward "the blades are sharp enough". I sent 4 emails to OXO and got no reply from them after my 3rd.. apparently they are not too interested in customer care. I have many OXO utensils and devices in my home which I have had for quite a long time. This is the 2nd (and last) OXO product I will purchase recently that is just a poor design. Too bad.. this felt really sturdy.. like it would last a long time but I am not serving/eating salad that looks like it's been pulped.. bye bye OXO!!! HEY.. check out KitchenIQ 50859 Herb and Pizza 2 in 1 Wheel.. that looks like what we are all looking for and it looks sharp! ... show more

  • Just as advertised
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
New year, new nutrition plan with lots of greens and vegetables, and this thing is almost perfect -- I say "almost" because it doesn't do a great job on cherry tomatoes, they tend to roll between the blades and not get chopped, even when I'm trying to chop them individually. BUT, the chopper goes through leafy greens, peppers, carrots, nuts, legumes, broccoli, and on and on, with no problem. Chopped salads just taste better, and they're a lot easier to eat without getting dressing all over the place. Also great if you want to take salad for lunch, I get up early and chop up leafy greens, carrots, broccoli, and nuts, and then add any wet items (beans, avocado, tomato) when I'm getting ready to eat lunch. Chop the dry items and carry them in tupperware, add the wet items and dressing separately, keeps it from getting gross before you're ready to eat it. ... show more

This chopper works like magic . The combination of blade and large hardened plastic bowl makes chopping all kinds of ingredients together easy even for this grandmother with arthritis in her hands .

  • Love it!
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
This is my new favorite kitchen tooll! I eat lots of salads, but get tired of making them, cutting up all the stuff, etc. But with this, I just throw everything in the bowl and in only a few seconds it's a salad! Caveat: I find that it doesn't do cherry tomatoes well, nor avocados, so I do cut them up separately and add them at the end, but that's a small compromise. It cleans up quickly and easily - I usually just rinse both the blade and the bowl right away and let them dry. Watch out for that blade - it's SHARP - so instead of keeping it in a drawer or cabinet, so I rinse it and throw it in a hanging basket where it's handy but safely out of the way. I made a couple of salad recipes from thing more of the booklet that comes with it, and recommend them, especially the apple and spinach one. If you like salads, or want to start eating more of them, I recommend this!! ... show more

  • I Now Love Salads!
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
I've never been a huge fan of salads and will often buy salad ingredients with good intentions but end up throwing them out because the thought of making a salad is overwhelming, especially since I don't really like them. This chops the ingredients so finely, which I love because I don't like feeling like I'm eating leaves. I used to tear the greens as small as I could, grate the carrots, etc. My favorite parts of the salad is everything but the lettuce/greens, and with this, you get a little bit of everything in each bite. I've been eating salads almost every day, and I'm even trying veggies I don't like on my salad because since they're chopped so small, I don't mind them. 100% recommend! ... show more

  • A kitchen gadget that works!
Style Name: Salad Chopper & Bowl Design: Chopper
Not often do I buy "gadget" items for the kitchen. They usually don't work over the basic knives and other hand utencils. We love a finely chopped salad that really is a pain to make with all the usual leafy ingredients, chopping away with a knife. So I decided to give this salad chopper a try because OXO Good Grips has a good reputation and it wasn't a lot of money if it failed. Well, it didn't fail. A great time saver for chopping all salad ingredients, especially the leafy items. Saves a lot of time and does the job as good or better than by hand. ... show more
