I bought this for my 8 year old son who wanted a basketball hoop outside, but we don't have a good way to do that right now. He was over the moon excited and has been playing almost non stop since we set it up! This is well made and will last a long long time, I believe. HOWEVER, the pump it came with is plastic and junk. It arrived with a crack in it and it wouldn't air up the balls. So we had to find a different way to air up the balls. It arrives in a nice giftable box, but does require setup (stringing the net onto the hoop, then screwing the hoop to the backboard, then screwing in the mounting hardware. Also airing up the balls.) I would definitely recommend this product, but don't rely on the included pump! ... show more

The sounds are engaging. The scorer updates with every basket (almost every basket) -- every once in a while the score does not update properly but the children don't notice this (lol). Got it for our grandsons (ages 8 and 10). It was fairly easy to put together. It comes with 3 balls and an inflation pump which worked well. It looks sturdy hanging over a standard bedroom door or closet door.

Durable, not cheap at all. You can dunk on this which makes it fun for the older kids. You can put the sound on or off. Fits over the door perfectly. Had this for a year now and my son plays with it almost every day and still works fine.

The backboard and the hoop are very sturdy, which I like, and it should stand up to a lot of slam dunking by my kids. However, the electronic scoreboard game peace does not work properly. It keeps repeating the same phrase over and over again and sometimes it will let you get into the game and then it reverts back to repeating the phrase over so I am going to swap it out for another one and see if the same thing happens. The balls are also also a little too big for the size hoop so you may wanna try to get some smaller ones. ... show more
