I purchased these almost a year ago after a neighbor had 3 surgeries to remove cancer from his arm. We are both seniors and walk every day in the Arizona sun. There is a remarkable difference in the color and texture of the skin on my arms. They look younger and healthier. I ordered a six pack and gave away all but 2 of them to friends and neighbors. I have been wearing the same 2 sets, washing them often. They still look new, very little pilling, no snags or holes. These sleeves are thick, unlike some of the others I have tried that are thin like tights. Even so, they are not hot, have a cool feeling when I put them on, even when the temps are 100+. I am a petite woman with small arms so I can pull them down to cover my hands and the top is still above my elbows. I am trying to keep my hands covered also to keep the age spots to a minimum. I'm old but I don't want my skin to look or feel old. Wearing these makes a huge difference. ... show more

I use these for UV protection when I play golf and do other outdoor activities. I'm always suspicious of "one size fits all", since I have very long (36"), skinny arms, but these are long enough and fit snugly. Even if I had bigger muscles, I think these would still fit me fine. I also like the ribbed texture (ribbed for my pleasure?) I have a skin condition that causes me to get itchy arms when exposed to the sun, but these sleeves prevent that from happening, so I know they are giving me the UV protection they advertise. They aren't "cool", but they definitely aren't as warm as wearing long sleeves. I can wear these for hours without having to adjust them or pull them up. They stay in place well. The only negative comment I have is about the stitching. I noticed a couple of areas where the stitching has pulled out even after just one or two wearings. So I have doubt that these will last a long time. But they are comfortable and effective enough that I will probably buy them again if needed! ... show more

I got these from the recommendation of a Doctor I play golf with. He suggested I wear them for a number of reasons. (1) Sun Protection (2) wind Protection (3) I’m an older guy subject to easy bruising. My friend tells me these will help cut down on the amount of Bruises I get. I also like them in cooler weather. These would have been what I was looking for if they didn’t cut the circulation off in my arms. They were super light (which I wanted) and basically see-through, so no sun protection, but also not hot on the arm…everything I wanted, except for the fact that my arms were going numb. Thee aren’t cloth or dress up at all. There other options for that. Really ensues to like these, but I can’t use them, and don’t feel right returning them after I pull-stretched one of the pairs to see if that wound are them fit.
