I have some tattoos and don't really like applying sunscreen on the regular. This absolutely helped keep me cool while keeping covered outdoors. I am particularly thin guy, and this actually fits pretty snug on me. At 6'1" the length suites me too, so this may not be for everyone. Lastly, they tear and snag pretty easily, so if your goal is heavy duty hiking, yard work, etc, I would keep searching for durability sake. Just a heads up: these are fairly small sleeves. I'm an active male (5'10", ~200 lb) who works out, and I tried wearing these for an hour or two to see if they would stretch out. They do a bit, but never got large enough for me - they felt like compression sleeves and my arm almost felt a bit bruised at the very top when I took them off. I've used other brands previously with different sizes, and a L has been fine for me - I've never needed an XL. I gave them to my girlfriend, who is also athletic and works out. Since she also has muscle definition on her arms, they barely fit her. She said they felt tight compared to her other sleeves, but they would work fine. ... show more

These arm sleeves at light weights and stretchable enough for one size fits most. I’ve worn them to cover would be exposed skin from mosquitoes and while cycling and motorcycling. They keep my arms protected with the embedded sun protection and fry with the moisture wicking features. These sleeves are very economical and durable for my uses. For daily ‘normal person’ chores there’s great. Totally hold up around the yard. But they aren’t for ranch or woodsy chores. The minute they saw a hay bale they snagged on the hay, the first trip into the forest behind our house they snagged on every branch.

They perform well especially when the sun is out, great protection from the UV rays but I have skinny arms and there pretty tight on me., if you got average arms or larger these will be tight in you!
