I’ll start off by saying I love this case. It is one of the best cases I’ve ever owned so far but I’ve only had it for a couple days now so I can’t comment upon longevity. As far as design goes, it’s more stylish than previous otter boxes I’ve owned and seemingly just as durable. It has a few improvements over the previous designs (in my opinion). Namely that there isn’t a cut out for the Apple logo, the back seems flatter with higher ridges around the edges, and the charger port is way easier to access. That being said I’ll go ahead and break it down. Durability As I had already mentioned, I’ve only had this case for a few days because I just got my New iPhone. But when I went to buy a new iPhone we immediately went for the otterbox defender because it has been the only case to properly protect my phones so far. I had the defender for my iPhone X for a few months before getting this one and although it had gone through quite a few drops on multiple surfaces (I’m a stay at home dad and my hands are always tied up with with something or helping someone), the defender went mostly unscathed. More Importantly, though, when I got my new phone, I opened up that phone case for the first time since I put my phone in it and there wasn’t a crack on it!!!! I was nervous to open it up because of bad experiences with previous cases (namely the very pricey high end urban armor gear case, cracking my back glass), but much to my delight there was nothing wrong with the phone. So even though I cannot comment for this particular version of the case, I know the defender can stand up against the elements and kept my iphone x protected completely through many drops. Style This is the best looking otter box cases I’ve ever owned. It’s proportionate, has a pop of color but it’s a neutral color, and there’s not a cut out for the Apple logo!! To be honest When I first bought the defender for my iPhone X it came off the coat tail of the uag case completely failing me and I was at a point of I know the otter box is super ugly, but I cannot let my phone get broken again so I guess I’ll just cave in regards of style to durability. And it didn’t disappoint, but I still thought my phone was really very ugly. With this one everything has changed. Because now I know the phone is protected, but I also actually like the look of this case. It has contrast, Color, just the right amount of bulk but not too much. And the Apple logo. I always thought the cut out for the Apple logo was very cheesy and very “hey look at me!” It really serves no other purpose that I can possibly imagine and I never liked it. it seems with this case they’ve finally done away with it and it looks nice. It could be because the cut out for the camera is so big now, but whatever the reason I approve. Fit It fits perfectly, just like the last case. It’s snug and form fitting, everything is seemingly proportionate as far as the case to phone around the edges goes. The cut outs on the bottom are correct (it seems Apple changed the bottom of the phone so that the holes are no longer even on both sides and otter box followed suit on that). And the defender for my previous iPhone was impossible to get to the charge port when my hands were wet but that issue doesn’t persist with this new defender so that’s a huge plus. And there seems to be PLENTY of room around the charge port to accept larger chargers which is great. Other things to note - it works with my qi wireless charger just fine. - it’s pretty simple to install but does take a moment and is not a case you will be able to take off and put back on easily so if you regularly need to take your case off this probably isn’t the one for you - no glare through the camera like I’ve had with some cases in the past - the ridges on the back seem higher which is nice because if I set my phone in something wet I feel like the phone will be slightly elevated although I’ve never tested that. -if you’re considering this over urban armor gear go with this one. Those cases won’t protect the back of your phone. Over all I’m very happy with this case. This was such a great find, I am a super happy with the product. The let down was that the clip shown doesn’t actually come with the case so that was a bit frustrating. But overall great purchase!

I can’t tell you how many times I dropped my phone and no damage came to it. I did have the replace the zagg screen a couple times, but that’s to be expected when you drop your phone as much as I do.
