I've gotta say, when we first opened this and I tried to play it after putting the batteries in, I thought it was going to be a one star review type of item. It wasn't playing slides and the notes sounded cut off. My husband had the same result. Then my 8 year old took it and he had no difficulty playing it. I'm not sure if it's his smaller fingers or that he doesn't have calluses on his fingers, but he's the only one able to play it. This is fine because this was a present for him. If you're buying this for an adult, the larger sized instrument may be a better idea. For a child, this is great. The sound is not terribly annoying either unless your child enjoys the highest octave. ... show more

You’d expect this bad quality from the dollar tree. Literally could have been $1 and would still be overpriced. The sound cuts in and out and won’t sustain a note. It’s not even a “note”.
