  • I'm sure someone will find this useful
For someone in her croning years who has identified as Pagan for over 40 years, this book holds little interest. I could have written it in my 20s. Not much here for a lifelong practitioner and a disappointing and simplistic introduction for new practitioners. Although I'm am sure some will find it helpful, she lost me when she insists on spelling it "Magickal". I ended up skimming the last half of the book. It reminded me why I chose the less purple smoke and mirrors path. ... show more

  • Good and interesting
I found the general background of the whole Wheel of the Year well written and insightful. I also enjoyed the background on the holiday itself and associated gods and goddesses and historical celebrations. I love how encompassing it is, even including Christianity without being condescending or hateful (tones which are common in much pagan literature I have read) which was quite refreshing despite my not being Christian. I was especially impressed on how thorough the history and background was, and how clear they were on what we truly know and what we simply guess at. But once it got into crafts and spells, I simply found myself uninterested. ... show more

  • Excellent
So much useful information. I bought the set and each one tells you about that specific sabbat in detail. The first couple pages are all the same. Fun crafts and food and of course the good stuff. Wasn’t expecting it to be as many pages, but couldn’t put it down.

  • Good book.
I have the whole series. I think they're better written for someone who isn't very familiar with the holiday but I bought it because they have interesting crafts and recipes in them for those who needs ideas for either. I've been a Wiccan for decades and it can sometimes be hard to come up with new ideas. But I recommend them. ... show more

  • Great book series
I am a huge fan of these books. I have used them mostly as a guides for my alter set up, and recipes. I like that there is an ample amount of information given on each Sabbat.

  • Lovely informative little book!
I loved reading this little book! It goes into depth about the history, modern practices, and lots of wonderful suggestions and how-to's for your own day. I plan to buy the whole series.

  • Full of info
I love how this book gave a brief history about many aspects as well ss different eays to celebrate whether you are open or in the broom closet and whether you practice alone or with others.

  • Love these little chapter type books for each Wiccan Holiday ...
Love these little chapter type books for each Wiccan Holiday within itself. Most books touch a little on each but these are dedicated to one holiday, awesome!
