Mother Teresa is my patron Saint. I have read several of her books - and even once saw her speak live in 1986. I am a follower of hers and strive to be as saintly. I was hoping this was going to be a book of her philosophy’s and writings. When I received it - I found it was merely a “Once-A-Day” book of her ideas/words. Each page was ONLY one idea (a few sentences). So, at first I felt ripped off. But as I started to use the book and read/pray over each page’s brief statement - I realized the beautiful power of these words. Each day is a new, blessed statement from Mother Teresa’s words or writings. Her words are SO powerful - only one idea can be digested each day. It allows me to pray over and allow each idea to take life in my soul. I’ve never been a person who enjoys self help books - but that’s not what this is. Mother Teresa never tells us what to do, or what not to do. She lived these experiences. She lived every idea and word that is written on each page/day. And she challenges us to follow her tiny footsteps, and she explains how her tiny actions of charity, love and selflessness brought her closer to God. And offers the same path to us. Mother Theresa was and is quite a lady. She was for our times. She was very close to the Creator from what I've read about her. This book is very inspirational. No matter where you open the book, the writings just jump out at you. Pardon my enthusiasm and imagination, but that's the way I see it!!

This book delivers bite sized quotes from Mother Teresa. But don't expect them to be easy to swallow! The quotes are thought provoking, inspiring, and sometimes very uncomfortable. It is easy to read with medium blue, large text on a white background that is easy on the eyes. It is one page per day and sometimes is only one sentence. But her words are inspiring and applicable for everyone. The quotes inspire one to live faith and charity and God's love.
