I finally went on and got the chair I wanted. I looked at all the reviews and I decided to go ahead and purchase. I had to go and get some electrical tape because, the chair base was ripped in two areas, it wasn’t enough for me to return. The electrical tape worked out perfectly. It took me about 40 minutes to put together because, the holes didn’t line up correctly. I had to wiggle the screws through two of the holes but, I finally got them through the cushion & base is comfortable. I’m glad I finally purchased my chair I always wanted!! ... show more

Overall I liked it - but it wasn't that easy to put together. Some places just didn't line up and it was hard to get everything right - one tube was bent and I had to use pliers to fix it! So be prepared that something may be wrong! but overall this is a good product. My wife loves to sit and read in the evenings in this chair... ... show more

This chair is smaller than your average papasan. Normally they are a little taller, wider, thicker. The cushion is on the thinner side, but what I received- I am VERY happy with. I tend to have blankets all around me, so honestly the cushion isn't a problem for me. I am 5'2 and a little over 220 pounds and I was so nervous reading that it's recommended wait is 200. There is no bowing, creaking, cracking, bending in the frame and I feel very comfortable and it feels very sturdy. I got this for my livingroom to see the tv better when playing videogames and I LOVE this papasan for the price. Pair it with a cute ottoman, blankets and you're either going to snooze quickly ( Like I did.. lol.) or you'll be so comfortable that before you know it, you'll be like 8 hours into a game you meant to play for like 2. When I got it, there was no bent pieces, but it was a struggle to put together. The screws thread in instead of slide but that's not an issue when your husband it putting it together... lol. Overall, if you're look for a papasan but don't want to spend $250-$350 this is a great solution. I would not recommend this one if you're over 6'2. My husband is tall and doesn't get the maximum comfort like I do, but he still likes it. ... show more

This was very easy to put together. Some of the binding covers the screw holes a little, but nothing a little trimming won’t fix. Maybe took 15 minutes to assemble. I used the tools that were given. They can hurt your fingers a little when tightening the bolts, but if your ok will a little finger pain they work just fine. Make sure to tighten all the bolts good. I saw some reviews with some wobble to the chair and I think that’s from not completely tightening the bolts. No wobbles here! The cushion is a little thin. You can slightly feel the bars through it…it’s kind of scratchy too. I would suggest replacing it. If you don’t want to buy a new one, a throw pillow or two with a blanket should fix that. Otherwise it is very comfortable to sit in. If I don’t update in a month it was a good buy! ... show more

Instructions were alright, if you are handy you probably won't need them. The wicker is plastic and do cover stone of the bolt holes. Try to carefully move the plastic wicker away from the holes, do not cut the plastic wicker because it will probably break. I had a hole that looked like a bolt had been pushed through leaving the plastic barely holding on and that broke while putting a bolt through the hole. If this happens, break it the hot melt glue gun and glue ther plastic wicker back into place going at least 1/2" both sides from the break and you should be good. One month of having 2 of these and both are fine, no issues with bearings. I like to blow graphite in to help lubricate things but I tend to go over and beyond on preventative maintenance on most things. The chairs will hold me and turn my almost 200lbs but I wouldn't recommend daily use of anyone my size. My kids at 60lbs and 120lbs turn much easier than with me on the chairs. I recommend checking out the chairs thoroughly, especially how the bearings roll and sound before putting out together. If they sound rough like sand is in it, do not move easily or catch anywhere then ask for a replacement. We are happy with ours. ... show more

I was so excited to find this papasan chair, especially a cushion in this color. Nice bright, even color. I had to exude a lot of effort to get the pre-drilled screw holes to align because 2 were not leveled. I am so disappointed in the cushion. It barely has any fill in it and flattens quite easily. It barely covers the frame, I mean barely. Once I sat in the chair, I felt the metal bars of the frame pressing along my tailbone, hips, back, back of legs, elbows, back of shoulders and back of head. It felt like sitting on a blanket on a metal frame. This papasan cushion is extremely uncomfortable. I do like the swivel feature. The cushion is of very poor quality and it has no value. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive but problematic with mismatched drill holes. I'm lucky I was able to figure out a way to securely angle the screws. So I have a frame. Unfortunately I will have to buy another cushion for the chair. The purchase of this chair will end up costing me more money than if I had just invested in a more expensive higher quality papasan. I suggest you purchase a different chair and scrutinize the thickness and depth of the cushion so what happened to me doesn't happen to you. ... show more
