As the title reads, this bookshelf is awesome. It's so sturdy, I put 120lbs of books across the shelves and it's fine. Easy to assemble, I did it myself. It gives a library look, I enjoy it. Buy this bookshelf!

Ordered this item in white and it looks clean and sharp in contrast against our green walls. Unpretentious, sleek and contemporary. Very easy to assemble and the design makes it a snap to adjust the shelf height. Absolutely no bolts, dowels or toolkits as all the pieces interlock, making this drop dead simple. The modular ability to expand the bookshelf library style without the cost of another full shelving unit is a design plus. I have not tested the weight bearing claims of each shelf but this is sturdy solution if you have a lot of books to store and display. My original shipment had what appeared to be packing and/or shipping damage upon opening the carton it came in. I contacted the retailer through Amazon and customer service bent over backwards to resolve the issue within hours. I am very happy with the item and the professionalism of the seller. The shelves are fine, you get what you pay for. We bought the double bookcase and it didn’t have all the screws. It’s sturdy enough to hold some heavy books, which we like.

Felt a bit flimsy at first because there's no fasteners, it all interlocks together. Once you start adding weight, everything settles together solidly and becomes increasingly stable. I'll need the extension, though, because I have way more books than in the picture.

The book shelf is good but not great. There is a lip on the very top because the top is 2 pieces instead of 1. They have a groove to slide 1 piece into the other causing a raised lip, even though it shows items on top, it isn’t level and isn’t ideal. 2 of the pieces were slightly bent and had to be flattened to put together properly but wasn’t a big deal. It's $30 worth of sheet metal, both arrived bent from insufficient packing, was able to manage to bend them enough to assemble, it'll hold some weight, sure but it's crap. I'd almost rather particle board slop from IKEA over this.

This is a very sturdy shelf. My husband and I put the first two pieces together which was NOT a great idea. After he left the room and I took a break I worked on it by myself. Everything fits together beautifully BUT two people trying to align things make it difficult. We have the three bookshelf set up. With nothing on it it wiggles and rattles. However once adding his complete Oxford dictionary as well as many other collections it was not wiggling anymore. Really great for a full library. Slightly less so as display. ... show more
