  • The new revolutionary kayak!
Color: White Size: Lake - Kayak Only
I love the light weight it is and the compact size when folded. You don’t need a roof rack. You don’t need to fold car seats down. You don’t need a rolling cart because it only weighs 17 lbs! Tons of room in front and back of seat for fishing or picnic supplies or for a pet. I only wish the seat-back was a bit higher and offered more back support. Can get tiring when out for hours on the water. ... show more

  • Nifty and heavy duty!
Color: Black Size: Lake - Kayak Only
This kayak is actually pretty comfortable and ergonomic. It maneuvers well in the water and cuts choppy wakes from motorized watercraft very well. The plastic is flexible, yet sturdy, and once deployed and strapped up, maintains it's rigid shape with ease. Assembling the kayak is surprisingly intuitive, though it does require some pushing and use of force, which means it will take some abuse and is not flimsy. The interior cabin (sitting area) has space behind the folding, adjustable seat and in the front, for stowage of personal items, which on my next outing will include some fishing gear. It currently is folded up and stored within my daily driving vehicle, ready for any adventure in a lake, creek, or river that my weekend may throw my way ... show more

  • Needs a Footrest or Brace
Color: White Size: Lake - Kayak Only
The Oru Lake Kayak is great for short excursions, but for longer trips, a footrest or brace is needed so you can use your legs. After about an hour on the lake, I started to cramp up because there wasn't a footrest to stretch against. I didn't find a footrest or brace in Oru's online accessories.

  • Surprisingly decent kayak as long as it isn't submerged
I bought mine used for around $200. That seems like a reasonable price for an Oru of this level. $500 seems rather steep for what you're getting. Good Portability- size of a large suitcase. Easy to set up- Takes 20-30 minutes first time and then only about 5 after. Floats well Easy to board- big cockpit with lots of space Seat doesn't slide around much Bad Doesn't track well. Every stroke moves you side to side. Attempting a straight line is impossible Doesn't float once submerged- watch youtube videos of people who are attempting self rescues. Once it has water inside, it is almost a lost cause and you'll be dragging it to shore. Float bags make things a little easier, but it is still difficult to board this in water No comfortable position for feet- Normally I don't notice my legs, but they started getting uncomfortable in this thing quickly. It need some foot rests or something. Otherwise you'll be very fidgety trying to get comfortable. Folds can develop holes- reading reviews this seems to be how these things fail. Over time the folds develop tiny holes. You can glue them, but that is a temporary fix at best. Not always easy to press in folds For the price I'd probably opt for a middle class touring inflatable kayak. My advanced element kayaks have treated me great, but their customer support is horrible. Maybe the sea eagle or other kayak providers would be worth considering. ... show more

  • Incomplete product
Color: White Size: Lake - Kayak Only
The media could not be loaded. Didn't even get out of the house let alone get in the water. All those reviews I read. I had faith (kinda sorta) in the ability of a true foldable to be right on front the start. Maybe a second one? This one is the Lake model.

I love my new kayak! Perfect for someone who lives in an apartment. Setup and takedown is a breeze. I definitely recommend it.

  • Great folding kayak!
Color: White Size: Lake - Kayak Only
This kayak was the answer for me! I didn’t have a place to keep my kayak at our marina where we keep our yacht. Now I can easily fold it out and use then fold it back and store it in the cockpit hatch on the boat. It is very lightweight and very sturdy. Love it!

  • Surprisingly good kayak
Color: White Size: Lake - Kayak Only
Under 20#, around 10ft in length. I've had mine for about a week now and have taken it on 5 lakes now. This is definitely a kayak for flat water, it is minimal but functional. It takes me under 5 mins to fold into a kayak or back into the case. Inflatable kayakers pumping their crafts look on impressively as they take too long to inflate. This is perfect for me because I can't get a roof rack with my panoramic roof on my car. It seems durable and I'm looking forward to years of use. If you plan on choppy water, do not buy this model, look at the Bay model maybe, this has a very open cockpit and no good way to add a skirt for those conditions. I love this kayak ... show more
