Got the jacket and wore it to a football game in the snow. Jacket worked find and kept my upper body warm. Only issue is the AC plug adapter to charge the battery. When it was removed from the wall socket the plug came apart leaving half of it in the AC outlet. Fortunately I noticed it before my wife or anyone else and was able to safely remove it. Pretty dangerous situation if there had been any small kids around to possibly get shocked. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband a few years ago. He's an avid hunter and he uses this to duck hunt in. He wears it under his waders and only has to turn it on low for a few minutes and then turns it off and because it is so well insulated that it keeps him nice and toasty. He gets too warm if he leaves it turned on for too long. The battery life is great and will last him all day. He keeps a portable battery charger in his pocket in case of emergencies but has never had to use it. It is a good quality and well worth the price. The media could not be loaded. The vast is a lot puffier than I thought it would be, I definitely noticed it was thicker once I put something over it like a hoodie, other than that it's awesome, I do need a second battery for it the battery life on high heat is definitely not long enough so if you get one definitely recommend a second battery or two if you can afford it at the time, I do feel like the heat coils could be spread out a little bit more but at the same time it works perfectly fine as is, if you're wearing just the vest it'll keep you warm, if you're wearing something over the vest it'll heat you up and then you'll start to sweat because the heat will stay inside whatever you're wearing over the top 😁 I looked at the Milwaukee heated vest before buying this one and I wasn't a big fan of the battery that was on it to power it so and so forth and after wearing this one yeah the battery is kind of bulky and square but I love that it's placed on your side instead of on your back or in your front pocket so definitely enjoy the battery replacement. Highly recommend this product haven't had any issues with it but if it's style isn't for you there are other options, I look forward to the day where I can test more Ororo items Oh side note, I wore this vest under a hoodie while riding my motorcycle, it kept me fairly warm to the point I wasn't freezing in 34 to 40° weather at 40+mph, so I can verify it is very viable under a coat while on a motorcycle ... show more

I am posting the image of the temperature settings. Low is at 100 degrees F - just about at normal body temp. Medium at 113 degrees F - one can barely feel the heat. High is very nice and cozy at 131 degrees F. I wanted to see how long the high setting would last. Admittedly I did not go into the cold to test it but we keep our house at 68 degrees F. A fully charged battery lasted me six hours on high. The fit was perfect as I have a 36 inch waste and usually wear a large shirt. My chest is 42 inches. It worked better when I took off my sweater that was initially worn underneath the vest then put the vest back on. Then I put a windbreaker on top of the vest to keep from soiling it and to keep the tags from getting caught in something. They warn you to leave the tag on else it would not be accepted should you return it. I especially liked the warmth around my neck but also appreciated the heat on my shoulder blades. The front pockets were not nearly as warm but they were warm. After awhile the heat is retained and I could have cycled down to the medium setting but I wanted to see how long the high setting would last. It took me less than eight hours to get the full charge indicator lights. I did buy an extra battery to have so when the battery needs recharging (about six hours to recharge) I could then swap out every six hours or so without having to wait in the cold for recharge to complete. The battery did not seem to be too heavy and the weight was not a problem as I didn't notice any drag or discomfort. Overall it was a very comfortable vest and I look forward to using it in my unheated garage or on walks. No complaints! I hope it lasts as I plan to take good care of it. ... show more
